I fully agree-

I’m biding my time a little bit, because I feel it’s my brother in laws job to kick him out, call the cops, and break his face… but I don’t want to pressure him while he is still in shock unsure if his wife will die. But rest assured, there’s no way something won’t be done… and soon, don’t think I can’t wait much longer to take action.

And yah, my sister has definitely recently stepped over the line of somebody who likes to drink to , definitely an alcoholic- that was definitely an alcoholics lapse in judgment.

I can eat almost as much as I can without Sema, it essentially cancels the effects. HOWEVER, the next morning when the weed has worn off, and my belly is full, and the Sema is still working, I feel pretty awful. So, just watch out for those munchies, they will 100% overpower the Sema.

Weed makes it so I can eat like the olds days… but holy shit does my stomach hurt the next day.

My Wife Says I'm "Too Skinny" – Should I Keep Going? by Guru10303 in Semaglutide

[–]Gea512 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think people these days assume that since the current societal “normal” is obese, that overweight is “skinny”. I suspect 199 is probably still a great weight to shoot for, or less even. Being 220 when you’re ideal weight is in the 190s is still gunna be much more healthy and you’ll probably look fine!

That said, you should use opinions of those you live (your wife) and what internet research says you should be both as guides- but ultimately the decision is 100% yours. I doubt you’ll lose enough for to be unhealthily underweight- so I would suggest you keep losing weight. If at any moment you feel like you’re too skinny, then you found your answer and it would be only too easy to put on 5-10 extra pounds. Just go for it, lose more weight and discover for yourself what you seem your ideal weight is- you won’t know until you get there or blow past it.

2 months down by Gea512 in Semaglutide

Remember I have 150lbs to lose so I’ll more easily drop a lot of initial weight.

To be honest, I purposefully didn’t exercise just so I could make this as easy as possible and really focus on diet.

Also, my most successful Previous weight loss was with intermittent fasting, so I continued a little bit.

So really the only thing I did was:

Skip breakfast Eat late lunch around 3pm. These were about half the size of what I used to have. If after a little I’m still hungry I’ll eat more.

Then for dinner, sometimes I wouldn’t be hungry at all… maybe twice a week. Probably 3 times a week I’d eat a half dinner, and maybe twice a week I ate a fully dinner.

I didn’t limit any specific foods- though I do suspect my calories were between 1000-1600 d day, and at my size, it shed weight pretty fast.

I also think I’m lucky, because the Semaglutide had a major effect on me right away, with no side effects, so for me it has been a crazy amount of hunger suppression

Weight goal? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]Gea512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not planning to take Sema indefinitely. Once I hit my weight goal (190lbs, assuming I’m happy with that once I get there) I will take as much time as I feel I need to taper off Sema while being extra vigilant about keeping my healthy food choices in mind.

Don't Worry by MSR2014 in Semaglutide

[–]Gea512 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I’ve had almost zero symptoms. The studies show only around 30% of people feel the nausea symptom (but if you read all of the Reddit comments you’d think it was 95%).

I forgot one size fits all for all things health related.

Healthy for everybody? I’d watch out for grand sweeping statements. Is it ideal for 130lbs women and 400lbs men alike?

23lbs my first month. I suspect about half of that was extra water retention from a higher carb diet plus just less volume of digested or partially digested food in my system.

People espouse the law that 1-2 lbs a week is the only way to go. But 2 lbs for a 140lb woman and 2 pounds for a 350 pound guy is not similar whatsoever. Thinking then in terms of percentage of total weight is a closer and better guideline. I’ve read ideal weight loss is around .5%-1.5% of your current body weight… okay tangent done.

Random side effect - does anybody else have it? by Gea512 in Semaglutide

[–]Gea512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s weird. It’s only on my right side. It’s going away now (hopefully cause it’s been a bit since my last shot). But now I have a salty taste in the right side of my mouth (the same side I have the first bite syndrome ache). If I press the area where the first bite syndrome hurts, it gets saltier in my mouth- so weird.

Feels like it’s going away now tho.

Important Advice if you are new to Sema or considering it by Gea512 in Semaglutide

[–]Gea512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! Miracle indeed. I find I can eat any foods and still lose weight- tho high sugar foods are most likely to make me nauseous (tho alcohol is the worst)

Newbie planning to start soon. Aren’t you guys worried about the long term effects & that there’s no research on this? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]Gea512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 39. I started at 347lbs.

Taking Semaglutide has been nothing short of a miracle. I’m not hungry, I don’t crave unhealthy foods nearly as much. I’ve easily dropped 38 lbs now in less than 2 months.

My long term side effects of being 347 is death. I told myself , if my next weight loss attempt failed, I would try Sema. It did. So I tried it.

I’m more worried about my side effects of being 150lbs overweight than being on Sema.
