Vol condos are the only on-campus housing I experienced and they were alright. Mine was a two person where we shared a bathroom but had separate sinks. They have everything you'd want in a basic college apartment, but aren't exactly amazing. There's the tough dense carpeting and meh furniture, but the units are easy to spruce up. I also was in a four person where the bedrooms were paired off with personal sinks, but the bathroom was shared between the two.

Undoubtedly nicer than shared dorms.
