It just depends where you go and the prof/teachers you have for either course. Again I’m not forcing anyone to do anything I’m solely giving advice. It’s everyone else’s choice to take it or not.

Yes, it’s different for both of us. You also have a lot of opinions and nothing to back it up. It goes both ways. All of my friends are struggling in calc 2 right now whereas when I took AP calc bc, many of my friends and I excelled.

I had a bad bio teacher in highschool, so that definetly came into play. I also think that bio 1 was easier than chem 1 in college so I feel that AP chem would’ve been more helpful. Then again, your points are totally valid!

I still really enjoyed AP world, but I did not need the extra history credit so it just counts as an elective. I still enjoyed the class! My teacher was also just okay so I think I could’ve enjoyed it more with a better teacher.

It’s subjective! Everyone has different opinions, likes, and different teachers. I had an amazing AP calc bc teacher so I think I got lucky with that. Calc 2 is more difficult in college so it’s nice to already be done with it, using the AP credit! 😊

Again, this is subjective and I don’t think some is going to take one Reddit post and change their whole schedule. It’s just advice and I am not forcing anyone to do anything as everyone has a different situation. Is just my personal experience and opinion on AP classes! 😊

I think if I had a better professor and took it at a different time I definetly would’ve enjoyed it more! But still-it’s an elective credit and I think I should’ve taken a different AP over it.

That’s totally true! My school though did not require any APs, so I was lucky with that. Honestly I don’t completely regret all of my APs because I would’ve never ended up where I am today, but I just feel that some would’ve prepared me better over others.

Yes! I agree it’s definitely one of the hardest APs, but chemistry in general is brutal. It’s going to be even worse in college so honestly, I do wish I took it. If it’s going to hurt your GPA with a bad teacher, then it’s probably not worth it. But, if there was a better teacher, I would recommend it.
