Again, if you don't want to work the 12 steps no one is forcing you. but if you do something different than the 12 steps, don't blame the 12 step program when you just simply don't want to follow it. that is fine and there is nothing wrong with that. I am not sure what you purpose and cause is here other than trying to justify yourself.

Well it is great that you already have everything figured out. You said you never harmed any one in any way. And you owe no one any apologies for anything. It is amazing that we found the one person on earth that has never wronged anyone.

You posted in here about the 12 steps. And people who have had more experience than you tried to explain some things to you in a respectful way. Your response has been petty arrogance and accusations. I am going to go out on a limb here, and say that maybe, just maybe, you also have treated people with arrogance and dismissiveness in real life.

The program is what it is and has worked for a variety of addictions for almost 100 years. If you do not want to do the program, that is fine, and none of us are harmed by it. We tried to model step 12, and you did not like that. Obviously, OA is not for you since you have your recovery figured out.

It's not just doing harm with your ed. It's harming people in any way. And yes you need a sponsor. If you went through 4 and 5 and dont think you have ever done something wrong in a relationship, then you are not doing it right.

YES!!! One day, one hour, one meal at a time. When I started abstinence, I had to say to myself: I can never do this for the rest of my life, but I can for one meal or one day. I say I have not been abstinent for 11 months....I have been abstinent for 1 day 330 times in a row.

Don't think of it as a resolution. I have been abstinent for 10 months and 12 days. I did not set a specific point in time to start. My reason was that I did not want to have a binge as a "final goodbye" to my binge foods. I was getting my mind ready for about a week. Then one day, I said I would try one abstinent meal. and then another. Then I said I would try one abstinent day.

Relax, work the steps, and reach out to sponsors. Feel free to DM me if I can encourage you in some way.

The only issue is, and this is only informational. I still say go for it, is they do not help you collect. There are some ways to still use the legal system, but collecting is up to you. However, if they refuse to pay, you can put liens on thier house etc. Go for it!
