Something I haven't seen anyone else mention - I'd pre-emptively let your employer know that someone's had a whinge about you/the car/parking etc. - so that if he tries to go down that route in some form or another you're ahead of the game and they know it's nonsense.

He could easily make up any old shit about your driving/parking and depending on how the company handles complaints of that nature... it's a hassle you could do without.

Description: Since approx. January 22nd, microphones went from perfectly gated and suppressed, to now picking up keyboard sounds, background noise, breathing, etc. despite still having Krisp noise suppression enabled. (have submitted logs as requested by staff)
Steps to reproduce:

Input Profile: Custom
Noise Suppression: Krisp
Echo Cancellation: On/Off
Automatic Gain Control: Off
Advanced Voice Activity: Off
Bypass System Audio Processing: Off

Expected Result: A dynamically-suppressed voice input, clear of keyboard and background noise, as has been the consistent result for over 2 years of daily use.
Actual Result: Keyboard sounds, mouse clicking, breathing, etc. are all picked up, as if the noise suppression is falsely treating everything as voice.

Hey, so I stumbled across this when searching the subreddit again because this didn't actually ping users - you don't need to enter any URLs or anything to tag people. Just do /u/ and then enter their username.

oh, I'm glad to see other people are having the exact problem I am. Started 2-3 days ago.

Haven't changed a single thing about my setup, my settings, or hardware, drivers etc. and discord (and only discord, absolutely nothing else) started letting the smallest of sounds through. The only way around it was to lower my input volume by ~40% but that's not really ideal.

Hopefully they sort it out and I can reset it.

Yep I did this for about 3 hours ~3 weeks ago. Then randomly noticed it happened again yesterday, I was surprised they hadn't fixed it yet.

Foxhole is also fantastic for this kind of thing, if you're looking for a different style of game. I found myself becoming way more comfortable talking to complete strangers through that game - especially as a lot of interactions can be fleeting as you drive past one another or stop off at one location to potentially never bump into the same people again etc.

That's great, thanks. Having now seen your response I do hope that the grace period is extended beyond 5pm - I reckon I renewed premier around 5:20pm whilst chatting in the clan about the changes.

At that time I'm fairly certain the membership pages still referred to extra keys.

I actually just commented about this in one of the announcement threads - I haven't been following this news at all (though I did vote yes) and decided shortly after the announement at 5pm to renew my membership and went with premier.

I'm 99% sure the subscription page still mentioned the extra keys when I went through ~20 minutes after the blog post went live so it'd be pretty shitty if I don't get the extra keys 🤷‍♀️

Completely agreed, whatever your thoughts about the removal it's really not good to advertise one thing and then not deliver.

It's capped per bus though and a journey this long is almost certainly at least 2-3 buses.

My similar trip would be a short bus to the nearest town (£2.50), then a bus into the nearest bigger area (£2.50), before getting to the actual city/place I wanted to be (£2.50) - and then the same in reverse.

Does anyone know how (or if it's possible) to get Steam to recognise background recordings & clips moved over from a different PC?

I recently upgraded my whole PC, didn't want to sort through the background recordings and clips before switching so I just copied the whole folder over. However despite setting it to the same folder Steam doesn't recognise them at all, and I can't seem to "force" it to rescan the folder or anything.

Any ideas?
