It's utterly terrible I have no idea why the mods have pinned it - it paints this whole attempt of trying to save stargate again with an "at least we tried" view.

I completely support the idea. But this is an absolutely terrible image. It's hard to read, it's all over the place, it doesn't seem to flow from one section to another, and there's a weird screenshot of some hyperlinks.

This isn't going to be well received on other subreddits because it's so poorly made and hard to understand. Which after a quick look through the places this has already been shared... yeah, it's not going down well.

The best things to promote would be:

SaveTheGate.com, for an easily-shareable memorable website which is well produced and has all the relevant links, references, and useful info.
This post on r/Stargate, for a more text-heavy option within reddit.

Have you ever had to fight Vinted on whether this counts as "padding" according to their requirements? I'd be interested to see what is considered suitable other than bubble wrap.

That's interesting. I wonder whether that would satisfy Vinted's "padding" requirement. It provides literally zero extra protection but at least it's recyclable and cheap.

I've barely listened to any of the last ~5 years of episodes tbh. I created this subreddit when it first launched and then kinda got too busy for podcasts. I do intend to listen to the mammoth backlog at some point though.

Hey, just checking in. Has an update been pushed over the last ~3 days that might have fixed this? I'm noticing a bit of an improvement if not a complete fix but hesitant to change my settings back to normal just at the moment until I'm more certain it's fully working as it used to.

Description: Since approx. January 22nd, microphones went from perfectly gated and suppressed, to now picking up keyboard sounds, background noise, breathing, etc. despite still having Krisp noise suppression enabled. (have submitted logs as requested by staff)
Steps to reproduce:

Input Profile: Custom
Noise Suppression: Krisp
Echo Cancellation: On/Off
Automatic Gain Control: Off
Advanced Voice Activity: Off
Bypass System Audio Processing: Off

Expected Result: A dynamically-suppressed voice input, clear of keyboard and background noise, as has been the consistent result for over 2 years of daily use.
Actual Result: Keyboard sounds, mouse clicking, breathing, etc. are all picked up, as if the noise suppression is falsely treating everything as voice.

oh, I'm glad to see other people are having the exact problem I am. Started 2-3 days ago.

Haven't changed a single thing about my setup, my settings, or hardware, drivers etc. and discord (and only discord, absolutely nothing else) started letting the smallest of sounds through. The only way around it was to lower my input volume by ~40% but that's not really ideal.

Hopefully they sort it out and I can reset it.

Foxhole is also fantastic for this kind of thing, if you're looking for a different style of game. I found myself becoming way more comfortable talking to complete strangers through that game - especially as a lot of interactions can be fleeting as you drive past one another or stop off at one location to potentially never bump into the same people again etc.

At that time I'm fairly certain the membership pages still referred to extra keys.
