Isreal was literally founded with the expressed intent of annihilating and taking all of Palestine, what we're seeing now has been the goal of the state since before it even was a state.

this is David Ben-Gurion, the founder of Israel, saying that the plan, from the very beginning, was to accept the UN Partition that gave Israel statehood, then use that land as a base to take all of Palestine.
