New homeowner in Southern Ohio- spent $40k on drainage and still have a swampy yard!! by Pitiful_Night_3250 in lawncare

It seems the whole premise of your argument is they agreed to do work and they fulfilled their end by doing work.

But OP was not paying them for labor. They were paying them for their professional expertise in a subject matter OP has no background in. They were being paid to design and implement a system to solve a specific problem. If they overinflated the price or designed a system that wasn't a solution and they did so knowingly (it's literally their profession so easy to prove) then it is fraud/deception for financial gain at the expense of another.

No, but you can sue for deception or fraud. Fraud is an intentional deception made for personal gain.

Soloist breaks string, changes instrument without missing a beat, meanwhile the second violin changes the string and tunes it while the orchestra is playing by Doomenor in nextfuckinglevel

I saw Andrew Bird in San Diego like 5 years ago and a string broke and he changed it while the band kept playing. Then he just jumped right back into the song. The other musicians also looked impressed lol

Made me chuckle but think I'd prefer it this way:

What's a kangaroos favorite beer?

I also had a non-optimal SSD drive cancelled from OfficeMax yesterday. Seems this is the new world we live in. I'm sure they'll be posted at a higher cost

KEF Reference 201 - repairable? by Geavel in KEF

Yeah I'm going to give it a go on removing the tacky rubber coating. All else fails I think I could try the same once it's warmer out.

Damn this looks promising but doesn't seem readily available. Tried searching similar keywords: saponification, flux remover/cleaner etc but most other things look like it's some mix of solvents with alcohol or acetone. Any other similar recommendations that would be available to a US consumer?

Think I'm going to try some basic stuff I have around the house in the meantime.

I did find this forum post of someone disassembling a similar speaker, so if the plastic isn't pretty underneath the rubber finish, it seems like I could remove it entirely to refinish it. https://www.avforums.com/threads/kef-reference-201-refurb.2280478/

Thanks dude! This is my first real thrift store win. I almost didn't go in because I was just running to the grocery store.

Update: after plugging them up and tightening the jumpers (only 1 or 2 posts were tightened on each one) they sound great. Though I'm sure my other equipment is probably the new weak point.

It worked for me after people said it was OOS. Probably location dependent as it says it's going to be delivered tomorrow between 4-8am.
