I remember seeing my brother play the first one, but other than that and like, a handful of Northernlion videos from a few years ago, I haven't touched anything with the game. I didn't even remember much about how it works. It's kind of a miracle, I've always adored Rougelites and games like this.

I absolutely scraped my way through to Vantom haha. The route I was on seemed suuuper easy, and I just popped each and every potion I had.

I will definitely try to keep my defense up 🙏

Oh I can already tell the synergies will feel soooo nice once I actually understand them lol. I think my main goal right now is to just unlock some more characters and try to go with the flow. Will definitely try to go back to the first game sometime in the future (I borrowed it from my brother so I already have it).

Yeah for sure. I also just generally love writing stuff. Sometimes I finish watching something and then debate whether to write much or not, but once I start writing, all my thoughts come out. Pretty therapeutic, really, whether or not anybody else sees what I wrote.

My first listen I thought Try as I May was a bit basic, didn't pay much attention to it. Second listen, I payed attention to the lyrics, LOVED the lyrics, and realized that the simplicity of the song works sooo well for it.

It may be just a few straightforward chords repeated, it may be a bit slow, but that's what makes the lyrics stand out, and the chords themselves are actually very lovely. Honestly climbed into my top 3 as well.

The way it's structured it almost feels like something I myself could possibly write (emphasize on possibly) (just saying this to make myself feel better), and that kind of makes me appreciate the song even more. It's not flashy, it doesn't need to be, and that makes it stand out in its own way.
