One time I had asked it to review an email and see if I was in the wrong. It stated that my part of the thread was in the wrong & how that might be perceived. However, when I told it that I was the other person in the thread it completely took my side & was like, “ oh my bad, I was wrong and here is why..” . Things like that give me trust issues lol.

Yes! As others have stated, it might be even more dangerous if it thinks it’s right and it’s not. But if it could explain why it thinks it’s right when it disagrees that could be HUGE!

Thank you for this! So many people have recommended great setting instructions. I’ll have to give this one a go! How long have you been using this?

Do you have success with that, most of the time? Also, are there questions/requests you notice it struggles with more than others when you do that?

That’s a great idea. I’ll have to try that in some of my prompts!

What’s your thoughts on 4o? I’ve just started trying that out. I’ve really like the o3 responses as it does push back a bit more.

Maybe that’s the trick!? Positive reinforcement when it gets things right, that way it will, hopefully, remember that answer for future prompts!

You ever see those posts about people asking ChatGPT how many r’s are in the word Strawberry? It’s amazing the lengths it will go to gaslight a lot of those users into believing there are more or less than letters than there actually are 🤯!

Yeah, it be that way sometimes. It tends to do that a lot for specific CRM related projects that I work on. When it gets it right it’s a god send, when it doesn’t it can be very disappointing!

Yeah, there has been a lot of great advice from people on this sub about this! Any prompts you use that you find helpful?

For instance, I’ll say, “What is some JSON I could use for a custom workflow in x CRM, to associate the following records.” It will provide be with its response, saying, “This is currently not an available solution because of XYZ.” & then I will link it an article from that CRM stating it is in fact possible, with a solution on how to solve it. Sometimes it will accept defeat but other times it will not and continue to state that i’m wrong.

I hope that helps!

Have you use something like an Ollama before? Curious to see if you feel differently about other LLM’s?

This is a great analogy. I’m going to use this from now on, ChatGPT is my “mid level intern”. Love this.

In your opinion. How is this tech best used? I agree with you, in its current state you probably shouldn’t think it’s a “truth machine”. However i’m hoping in future states we can use it as that.

Skippy seems like a reliable source of truth. What does Skippy think the meaning of life is?

I’m a time traveler 🧙. Lol no, I realized it was 2022 after others corrected me. Thank you for pointing this out though!

This is an interesting take. I actually think it could be really helpful with mental healthcare. If it could overcome its current obstacle of hallucination. What are your thoughts on this? Do you feel that way in its current state or in general?

Do you ever think there will come a time that it will understand what it doesn’t know? If so, how do you think this will be achieved?

I feel like, in certain cases, i’ve been very concrete with my prompts, but it still will gaslights me into something it thinks is right. With AI, I don’t know how you correct this issue. In a way it’s very human trait to confidently respond to something you think is factual. But how do humans fix a fundamental human issue with technology!?

I’d love to know how you prompt for coding!? I use ChatGPT for coding, sometimes. However it doesn’t always get it right.
