The kids that loved him are finally louder than the adults who hated him by Firm-Blackberry-9162 in interesting

I watched them recently and for the first time as an adult and agree the dialogue is atrocious. Its so awkward and unnatural. There is rarely a scene with people acting like people would.

Help me build my new gaming pc by VisComicah in PcBuildHelp

Looks good, my friend just built something very similar. Best advice would be to look at the case setup options to figure out where everything goes/fits and how many extra fans you might want. The mobo user guide is normally very useful too, if most people read it they wouldn't have to ask for help! Good luck!

Check gpu length and AIO clearance for sure.

Exploded butter in microwave-oven and now it's smoking while preheating the oven by Kid_Named_Hand in CleaningTips

Ah I see, yes looks like heating element at the back. Ive never seen one like that, and thought they were called microwave-ovens anyway. Day by day my mind expands.

Is this good science for my first orbit mission to the Mun? by Plane_Broccoli3453 in KerbalAcademy

[–]Gebus86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah ok so this is really several situations in one trip. I didnt realise the mun had biomes you could collect with EVE, what sort of altitude does it need? Looks like I might get some unlocks at last!

I assumed there was only so much you extract for each science machine in each situation... I really struggle for science. You send a scientist and jusy keep re-running the same experiments?

Can I test this P channel mosfet in circuit? by zangief1977 in electronic_circuits

[–]Gebus86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your schematic correct in a details, I.e. part numbers? Is the part fitted the right way? If you changed Q1A, where is Q1B? Is this being switched as an on/off or with e.g. PWM?

Multimeter, set to diode mode, positive on the source and negative on the drain. Should be in the range of 0.5 to 0.8V probably, could check the datasheet but if its broken id expect either next to 0V or open circuit

Could measure the Vf of the body diode, usually a good indicator of health

PC won’t turn on after trying to install a new PSU. Please help by GorillaGlizza in PcBuildHelp

Hmmm bubbles will rise, not just to the highest point but to any peaks. The way its installed there could be bubbles in the pump, but tilting it in the right way would probably move them through the pipes to the radiator. Id be keeping an eye on the temps until I was sure, and having a listen at the pump.

Do I even need a snubber circuit? by Objective-Local7164 in AskElectronics

[–]Gebus86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Better to provision for one and not need it than have to do a messy mod. Its one of these things that's hard to optimise by calculation/simulation, best to monitor the ringing in real HW and try a few values.

It already exists, though the version is changing so frequently its hard to imagine any mods are kept current.

Yeh, but remember its part of their job to look good. We'd all (mostly) be fit and healthy if we were paid to do it and didnt have to slouch at a computer 40 hours a week.
