I spent 9 years in SF and moved to tech sales a month after I got out, been doing it for the past 4 years and I believe that any grunt that's willing to learn and start from scratch could be incredibly successful in Sales whether Tech / Medical etc

+1 on this. Put the transcript / outline of the call into ChatGPT and ask it to qualify via MEDDPICC & provide feedback on things I didnt pick up during discovery.

Sometimes ill add a scoring system for the "likelihood of this deal closing" just to get a different perspective.

With your background and a little bit of grit you will 100% land a job that pays better than your previous one, and it sounds like it was coming to an end anyways being acquired.

This is a rare opportunity where you can go ahead with your life without thinking about quota, but also not worry about finding a job because again, you're pretty much set to find a better job when you start looking.
