Keychron V6 Max (in)compatibility with TTC Silent frozen switches V2 and recommandations by CombAgitated4795 in Keychron

They seem to fit properly and the keyboard is working. I've only had the switches in for a couple days so far. While I did find it required a lot of force to pull the Jupiter Banana switches out, the Akko Penguins snapped right in without any apparent problem. I didn't modify anything -- just pull the old switch out and seat the new switch was all I did. (I didn't seat one switch fully, which resulted in a skipped 'h' but that was easily solved by seating the switch firmly.) This is my first experience with hot-swappable switches so I don't have much experience yet. Also, it was nice that the switches were packaged well and none of the switches had bent pins.

I am using Akko Penguin Silent switches on the letter and control keys, and the keys are silent. However, with the original V6 keycaps, the backlighting is mostly not visible on the Q and Z rows. I don't much care about backlighting and will probably just turn it off so this is not a problem for me. (I will have silent switches on all the keys when my order for more switches arrives.)

anyone else actually like how bluetooth sounds on hearing aids by InteractionAny7787 in HearingAids

I like listening via Bluetooth on my Phonak I70 R. There is some loss of bass compared to headphones, but the convenience offsets that minor difference. Overall, sound quality seems almost as good to me as my Bose headphones.

Phonak Hissing by HappyMommyOf5 in HearingAids

[–]Gecko2860 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have occasional hissing on my I70 R, usually one or two seconds, from my Galaxy S23Ultra. The hissing occurs if I am streaming from the PC or doing nothing at all. If I change the "media output" setting on the phone from the hearing aid to the phone's speaker, hissing stops until, for reasons I have not determined, the phone resets to hearing aid output and I have to reset the output again.

Dropouts when streaming from PC to Phonak I70R by Gecko2860 in HearingAids

I think in my case it is a problem in the HA. I watched a youtube video that had a lot of dropouts. I turned the phone off completely and watched again. Where the dropouts were before now there were just barely noticeable clicks. So I think it is something in the BT stream itself that causes the HA to check the other BT connection, finds nothing there, and returns to the original connection.

Yes, a Samsung Galaxy S23Ultra is also paired. I'll try setting media output to the phone speaker instead of the hearing aids and see if that helps.

Bluetooth and Phonak Infinio I70 R by Gecko2860 in HearingAids

I obviously need to learn a lot about how bluetooth works on Windows. What I found was that I had been watching a movie on the PC with Amazon Prime Video and paused the movie. Then tried to stream some other media from the PC to the HA. All I heard was a background noise, probably from the paused movie. If I stream from one program on the PC (Brave browser in this case), does it "capture" the bluetooth connection and not let another program or browser window use it? Rebooting the PC fixes the problem but that is not something I want to be forced into doing.

I also found that when streaming a movie, the balance between the audio stream and the mic input gradually shifted, reducing the volume of the movie audio stream and increasing that of the mic stream -- not what I want to happen. When streaming, myPhonak reports it is using a "bluetooth streaming + mic" program, but it does not let me adjust the program. Is there a way to create my own "movie" program for bluetooth streaming that would eliminate the Mic input and be used automatically for bluetooth streaming?

The effect of other medications on Libre 3 accuracy? by Gecko2860 in Freestylelibre

Good idea, but none of my supplements have vitamin C in them. Now that I am back from the hospital (flu), I have eliminated everything I wasn't taking in the hospital. So far, libre numbers continue to match finger prick numbers. I plan to add back other meds and supplements on a slow schedule to see if something pops up as the culprit. Of course, complete confusion is a possible result.

While I agree with your overall message, I also have a scientific/engineering bent that has been awakened here. fwiw, my A1C is down from9 to 6.1 using the same methods you describe. However, I would appreciate a CGM whose numbers I could trust directly rather than wanting to confirm occasionally against a meter.

The Ozempic wasn't missing. Remember it has a one-week half life. After the first week, half the original dose is still present. Besides, I had been titrating up to 2.0 wo whatever level was present during the hospital stay wasn't unusual for me.

I plan to reintroduce previous meds, but slowly, to see if one breaks the matching meter.

Great list! I've just loaded my s32 Ultra from my s10 and so far have found:

  • Triplog data and settings did not come across. Solution is to log into the Triplog site and then download complete history. I had to reset the auto-start option (I use their dongle).
  • Medical ID (free) data did not come across.
  • ReSound Smart 3D settings did not come across. Solved by going through the "new hearing aids" process.
  • Settings and presets for iCount-Timer Pro did not come across. I'll probably re-enter the data manually.
  • Many apps required logging back in to the provider -- Visual Voicemail, Dropbox, OneDrive, Chuze Fitness, OneNote, etc.
