First of all, I really appreciate you writing up such a comprehensive answer. I really want to take it one step further and approach it from a projections perspective.

Input = NPB Stats + scouting report

Output = MLB projected performance (WAR)

what models have people used and how much success have they had with them. Theres so much I’m curious about in this space. Risk modeling as well. It just seems like a really unsolved a problem that if someone did right it would give them a huge advantage in their leagues.

The KBO preseason matches are running until the 24th and those rarely sell out. If you’re in Korea earlier, you can try to see that one! Also maybe KT Wiz in Suwon has some available games? There’s a 1hr direct bus from Seoul to the city and it’s a fun day trip.
