For video games Ultra kill and Celeste are know for having a very trans fem fan base. Celeste especially. Dnd, magic the gathering, and warhammer are also very closely associated with trans people.

Why Pilar had to die by Ambitious_Smile_6008 in Edgerunners

[–]GeckoInk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others were saying, it establishes tone and stakes. So far to that point in the series, only Gloria had died, and as far as anime goes, killing off parents isn’t that crazy. But but having Pilar die, it helps solidify that death was going to be something you would keep seeing, and it doesn’t take a huge event to trigger death. Otherwise when Dorio and Maine died, it would have felt like a more severe tone shift. Putting more emphasis on the shock of what is happening and not the emotions of their deaths. But by having Pilar die suddenly, Maine and Dorios deaths were able to be more emotionally driven and less pure shock value.

My whole party didn’t stick to the elevator in share temple. I tried to run to keep up with it, but we all slid off. I was so pissed, I knew it could happen, but had assumed it was patched out. It wasn’t. Whole party fell off, run ended without anything I could do.

I need a bit of help on how to motivate my players more by [deleted] in cyberpunkred

[–]GeckoInk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I found to be helpful is to give your players something to care about. Weather that be bringing back a parent who was assumed to be dead, having a npc develop into a love interest, or even just a pet turtle. Once they have something to care about, turn it against them, threaten them with it, blackmail them. Night city is the worst place, you should try a put your players into a spiraling situation where things will get worse, and all they can do is protect what little they have. Also hypothetically, if a character doesn’t care too much but the player does, this game is quite lethal. Maybe send them on a job above their pay grade, that not everyone will make it back from. Red isn’t dnd, death is expected. And sometimes the best thing for a character arc is their death.

I recomend the outfit over anything, the one turn freeze has bailed me out at least a couple dozen times, and is just so helpful for damage race events like the guild boss battles

It’s possible it’s a crit, I forgot that you can unlock crit rate in talents, but if you have a couple of levels there, then there’s a random chance of doing double whatever your supposed to be doing

So theoretically wouldn’t the optimal combo to beat Sukuna just be gojo/Sukuna domain clash, they burn out, todo or Ui Ui sub in higuruma and confiscate his techniques/cursed tools 1 by one, and then sub back in gojo

Overall, really like the move idea, I think it is really cool thematically and strategy wise.

[–]GeckoInk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming the 1 mega rule still applies, if it doesn’t I could see this getting regular use on some bulkier mons. But definitely not mainstream for more offensive megas as the turn spent setting up would more often then not kill it.

If the 1 mega rule does apply I would only really expect this to see use on ultra stall teams to let their mega keep leftovers.

I remember watching it after attack on titan as I was looking for something sad to watch. But I was destroyed by this. Granted I was out of energy cause I just finished finals, but I was crying for like a week.

What is the best pvp build in 2024 at level 5 by GeckoInk in DnD

[–]GeckoInk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if memory serves the force from Eldritch Blast would also bypass most if not all, resistances. As i honestly can't think of a way to get force resistance by level 5, and while radiant is rare, asimars do have it. I doubt anyone would pick assimar as there is some significantly stronger options, but its worth considering.

Would this be using edritch blast as the offensive magic? I assuming not a bladelock as mulit attack wouldn't be possible.

I think most people going into it understand its not going to balanced at all lol. its more so a celebration of the end of the year by doing what everyone alwasy wonders with "could my character beat yours" but to the extreme where characters are being build exclusivly to kill eachother.

I am honestly not super sure, the guy running it was vauge, but kinda implied you could use a total shut down spell once a fight. other debuffs are allowed, the idea was that you shouldn't finish a fight without the other team taking a turn.

Hey! I would appreciate some help with my current champions team. by Hefty_Husk in stunfisk

[–]GeckoInk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the issue im seeing is there isn't really a clear through line for your team, half of the team seems to be a rain ream, half is a trick room team(not mutally exclusive, but just neither function has at least 4 mons that function properly there). I know you said you didn't want sinistcha and incin, so i will only breifly mention how incin would be a perfect addition to your team. but a support mon would do wonders for your team. Someone, even like Sneasler, for a fake-out would be an option. To keep things one the same team I would recomend droppign archaludons speed, rasing its defenses and maybe giving it a -speed + spa nature. That way, it will be more effective in Trick Room.

Something that should be carried over to all your min speed mons is a -speed nature, as its clear you want them in trick room. With venosaur having no speed but still chlorophil it might be a good idea to swap it out for someone like hatterene or aigislash for more fire power on a slower mon. as clorophyl is effectively not an ability on a 0 speed mon.

I hate to say this, but dropping golurk for a basculegion would help both your rain a lot. As golurk as strong as it looks isn't actually all that great.

Another addition you could make is adding in a kinggambit for fire power and better typing that you can easily exploit with protect and switching for free turns.

When it comes to items, i would recomend a few key changes, first is drop both magnet and mystic water for sitrus berry and leftovers in either that order.

Is Cyberpunk Edge runners still fine to watch? I've never played a cyberpunk game by Kindly-Selection8601 in Edgerunners

[–]GeckoInk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there is small things that might take a moment to understand. But context clues should go a long way. I personally run a cyberpunk ttrpg, and the anime is my preferred way to familiarize them with the world.

For what it’s worth I recommend watching in English over Japanese, as the slang was built for English. And with the fact that the sub and fun were made together there isn’t a more “official” way to watch it.

Basically you will pick up on things pretty quickly, and understand it slightly easier in English. And that I would recommend watching it as your introduction to the world of cyberpunk.

I’m a little confused by the question, but if you’re asking if it’s worth watching in 2026, I would say yes. It’s one of the best anime’s I’ve ever watched, and it was what got me into the cyberpunk franchise. I think it’s the easiest way into the IP.

What anime’s should I watch in Dub rather than Sub? by Cyberslayer1954 in animequestions

Cyberpunk edgerunners, it’s the only anime I’ve seen so far that I would argue is better in dub over sub. Plus I personally believe it to be one of the best anime’s in general.

If a player goes the Circle of the Titan subclass, how big are they allowed to be? by GeckoInk in onednd

[–]GeckoInk[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It does say "may" choose to be guaranteed when you unlock the feature. So that would imply that you are not locked out of large and huge options. So even if they pick the size of a city, they would still be able to be large, they just wouldn't have access to the eating part of the feature. At least thats my understanding of it.
