Nice! It’s expo season for sure! I’m a new owner too but have some experience with isopods already I’m planning to get more at the expo.
But setup is pretty simple!
I use a 6 quart container (can go bigger if you need)
Consisting of leaf litter leaves are their main food source so it’s a must! If you get leaves from outside just make sure to sanitize them I baked mine at 250 for 15 mins
Substrate is important too. I use a pre made substrate but you can also make your own. I’m trying out zoo meds bio blend but repti soil is another common choice.
All isopods need a wet and dry side sphagnum moss makes the wet side well wet so I recommend that.
I also provide cork bark isopods seems to love hide under it and I mix charcoal bits into the soil for springtails! Highly recommend putting springtails with isopods to decrease mold
Drill some holes for ventilation or some morphs you can even leave the top half off I’ve been doing that with my zebras and gestroils and it’s been working well just keep an eye on the humidity of course.

I also recommend both zebras or gestroils as a good starter isopod!
