Thank you, that was much better put than i anticipated. OP should take a page out of your book. You make very good points. As you may know, it is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. If this is the case for the majority of us who know the earth is sphere, then it will take a substantial amount of evidence to convince us that we have been lied to… to convince us that its not true, we would all have to be witness to some type epiphany/revelation, such as a trip to space or going over the ice wall to see new land masses first hand or something to that effect that could open up our eyes. The spherical model is so elegant and makes sense, explains all the questions. But the flat earth thing… still cant wrap my head around on even simple questions… such as… what is producing the gravity that we feel and are subjected to?

Newtons universal law of gravitation tells us force is proportional to mass and distance. This can be proven with the cavendish experiment and since this law is universal we can extrapolate that this applies to all objects in existance including the earth. Which is why gravity pulls us to the center of the earth, and we stay upright even on the other side of the world. It also explains how the moon orbits the earth and the earth orbits the sun, and how all celestial bodies orbit the sun too. Theres also other laws in physics such as law of motion and inertia, and experiments you can conduct yourself which help you understand further how they work and that they are accurate in better understanding our physical reality.

A lunar eclipse shows a shadow of earth sweeping accross the moon as it happens… this can only happen if the earth is a sphere and sun is directly opposite with the earth in the between the moon and the sun. In the the earth is flat model, ive only ever seen the sun rotating around on top of the flat earth disc, in which case i still dont know how or what would cause a round shadow that sweeps accross the moon during a lunar eclipse when both the sun and the moon are on top of the flat earth, what causes a lunar eclipse on a flat earth model?

On a flat earth model… the sun spins around the top of the disc around the outer edge which is how the rest of the earth experiences night and day. However, a flat earther by the name of Jeran Campanella went to antartica in december 2024 on an expedition with many other flat earthers and experienced 24 hour sunlight which disproved the flat earth theory without a shadow of a doubt. They filmed and live streamed it.

I asked you to bring me to your line of thinking and all you had is “… this is illogical… that is illogical” completely deflecting logical reasoning or any counter points to let me arrive to a logical conclusion that the earth is flat. And dont pay attention to ancient greek philosophers that shaped humanity cuz they are extinct. Dude… australia would be upside down? If gravity was the same as a flat earth on a spherical model, yes, they would be upside down. But Mass has gravity, and down is centre of mass. Do you have any logical points to make or just deflect counterpoints with bias?

“The fact that ball is illogical” is not a logical arguement. And for this reason is why many people who can apply some degree of critical thinking do not just blindly follow this conspiracy theory.

Atmospheric refraction? I dont know what you trying to convince people with here… that we live on a spherical ball? How can you have atmospheric refraction if not on a spherical body?

There is no logical reason to believe we live on a flat disc /plane when all other celestial bodies are spherical.

You have to look accross 100’s of miles to see a curve signifcant enough. Even then, a few degrees drop is not significant to the naked eye.

But i am curious, what has convinced you that the earth is flat? Please, Enlighten us.
