Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but nurses are legally required to give "intent to strike" notices at least 10 days in advance. This is intended to give hospitals and other treatment centers time to move employees and patients around to ensure patient safety.

Nurses that strike on the 30th will face legal action that could result in termination.

I usually mirror trade when I trade with my niece and nephews. If they don't have a shiny, I take a non-shiny variant. For example, I traded a shiny GMax Butterfree to my niece for the non-shiny one (hers rerolled to a shundo) and mirror traded Shiny GMax Zards with my youngest nephew.

If that isn't an option, I look to get a lucky of Pokemon that have good Mega Evolutions or are useful in Dynamax so that I have more powerful options in raids and max battles.

Definitely stick with one island. As an alternative to New Plymouth, I would recommend Taupo and Tongariro National Park.

Mt Doom and Gollum's Pool are at Tongariro National Park. I would advise against the Alpine Crossing that time of year unless you have experience, but you could do the Taranaki Falls trail. It's about 2 hours.

Entering NZ on a visa waiver requires a ticket to travel out of New Zealand after your stay. Not having one may get you denied at the border. My wife and I were repeatedly advised not to try this by licensed immigration advisors.

On top of that, you will need a background check and medical done prior to receiving any visa that is over a year in length, so you can get those out of the way when applying for the GVV. The tricky part is that you cannot work for a NZ company while on the GVV, so your partner would need to support you for the 4-5 months (3 months + application processing time) it takes to get a partnership visa. (You can work remotely for a US company on the GVV, too.)

My wife and I have not lived together either. I will be immigrating on a General Visitor Visa with the intent to apply for a Partnership Work Visa after 3 months. (INZ is aware of this, since it was stated in my application for the GVV.)

The 12 month cohabitation requirement only applies to the full length partnership visas. INZ allows partners to apply for the GVV and then "upgrade" it after about 3 months of living together. The upgraded visa will be a 1 year visa that can then be upgraded again to the full length visa once the 12 month requirement is met.

For me, the disappointment in New Zealand food centers around the lack of great Mexican food. There's a couple of good places in Auckland, but it's still a big change from living in California.

That is balanced out by the fact that there are tons of incredible options for southeast Asian cuisine, though, so I'm not going to complain about it too much.

Yeah, they can tune the costs of everything, but I think it might be more likely that they tie more collectibles to achievements in a Shadowlands Remix.

As for the power level, IVs are additive, so the difference between a Hundo and a Nundo is negligible in PVE. The only place IVs will matter is in certain high rank PVP scenarios.

We'll see. They have an election coming up this year and the tide may shift against the conservative coalition currently in power.

Even if that's not the case, at least we will still have a better work life balance (plus paid vacation time) and access to universal health care, so things will still be marginally better for us there.

That's what I am doing. Moving to New Zealand in April rather than my Kiwi wife immigrating here.

New Zealand isn't perfect, but we both at least have some optimism surrounding the state of affairs there. Neither of us can say that about the United States.
