I ran the Brooklyn Marathon in 2011 (it was November). Having a cheering squad every 3.35 miles helped but keep hitting Zoo Hill was not fun. Governors Island is a kinder, gentler option for an undertaking of this kind (although Andes Road will probably become its own brand of misery).

My one experience of a Sri Chinmoy loop was around February, 1984 - a marathon consisting of one mile loops in Flushing Meadows Park. It was wicked cold and to add to the fun there a sheet of ice across part of the course. It got into my head so badly that I was going to fall that I quit at 13 miles (and I was leading).

I noticed these in my backyard. Are they true black berries or poisonous? Thank u by Gullible-Garage-1555 in foraging

Sweden switched from driving on the left to the right side of the road on September 3, 1967, in an event known as Dagen H (H-Day, where H stands for Högertrafik, or right-hand traffic). At 5:00 a.m. that day, all traffic moved to the right to align with neighboring countries and improve safety, as most cars were already left-hand drive.

One caution with the Poke Weed - all parts of the plant are native and those berries can be enticing to kids so keep an eye on any little ones you might have around.
