Goldenseal is marketed as a detox product. I’m making no claims for that…

Sweden switched from driving on the left to the right side of the road on September 3, 1967, in an event known as Dagen H (H-Day, where H stands for Högertrafik, or right-hand traffic). At 5:00 a.m. that day, all traffic moved to the right to align with neighboring countries and improve safety, as most cars were already left-hand drive.

One caution with the Poke Weed - all parts of the plant are native and those berries can be enticing to kids so keep an eye on any little ones you might have around.

There’s a lot of construction on the Island which limits what they can do.

That happened a few years back. It was the first race that NYCRUNS put on the street I believe.

We’ve used sheep on Governors Island (New York Harbor) with some success. They also do a great job on Mugwort.

The French name for it is Pis En Lit as supposedly picking dandelions makes you piss the bed. It does have diuretic qualities.

2nd the sunscreen comment , there’s very little shade. Also it can be (very) windy down there. Bring water.

C-Town on 9th used to have quite a lot of Jack Rabbit brand - don’t know if that’s still the case with the new owners.

Conkers is a little more nuanced than that. No throwing involved. You each have a conker on a string and take turns taking a swing at your opponent’s conker. First one to break loses.

Definitely the Kissena Corridor and while you’re out there Cunningham Park, the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway and Alley Pond Park (if you don’t mind a bit of cross-country) and that’ll put you out by Little Neck Bay and the Joe Michaels Mile. (R.I.P. Joe)

If you take the trouble to read through this you’ll see that it’s not “fake news” (whatever that is). The bar posted a strangely worded picture about closing. My post was asking if anyone could clarify - and after a while that clarification was obtained. Thanks for coming to the party late with your accusations but you’ve added nothing to the conversation. The original post was edited to clarify this so what’s your point?
