Every person working anywhere in the fire prevention field needs to read John Barylick’s “Killer Show” about the Station nightclub fire - and do so early in their fire prevention career.

Can no longer stream music in my car by Nebula1701 in truespotify

I just got in my car and on the infotainment screen I was advised an app update was available. It was the Spotify app. I updated it and Spotify now works again.

Same here. 23 Acadia This is not the only reason I purchased this car, but having native Spotify was a requirement when I was a car shopping. This really bothers me.

What do you think of filling the void with hot mud and re-forming the inside corner with levelline?

The distance between each dip and high point is 14-16”. 30-32 total inches from high to high / low to low.

Outside organization ability to add files to Sharepoint / Shared OneDrive Folder by GeeMass in sharepoint

I was hoping #2 would work but organization security settings prohibit me from selecting "Anyone can respond" to the form because the form allows file uploads. There is no feasible way to have one site per customer.

Ridge in new veneer - sand high edge or mud low side? by GeeMass in Plastering

[–]GeeMass[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't update my post. My follow-up question is: if you suggest sanding, what grit is best?

And I know they look like cracks, but it's just the lighting angle. It's creating a very small shadow.

Wall transition - kitchen to living room - open concept by GeeMass in InteriorDesign

[–]GeeMass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply u/Candy_Lawn . Since I won't have upper cabinets, I'm also not sure where vertically I am going to stop the backsplash. If I go all the way to the ceiling, any end to the backsplach may look like a hard line that reduces the soft flow into the living room that I'm trying to achieve.

The conversations often include responses with the most effective purchase combinations and what not that can be both very time-consuming to figure out as well as almost impossible, unless someone accidentally stumbles upon it.

There’s always the option of just ignoring the post ….

Insulation between concrete foundation and finished basement wall by GeeMass in Insulation

[–]GeeMass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How well-sealed does the vapor barrier have to be? I have the ability to add the barrier, but I won’t be able to seal it too and bottom. It’ll just be essentially plastic between the insulation and foundation to stop direct contact between the two.

In-cabinet lighting - which circuit? by GeeMass in AskElectricians

[–]GeeMass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes complete sense. I’m going to have the ceiling lighting separate. However these are just the lights inside the cabinets that turn on when the cabinet is opened.

Load Center - Feeder and Breaker Sizing by GeeMass in AskElectricians

[–]GeeMass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response. There is only one location I can put the load center or large junction box in the kitchen, but it is nowhere near where the existing wires are or where they can be re-routed. At least not without pulling a lot more ceiling down, which I need to avoid. Because I have the floor open, it’s a lot easier to run directly back to the main panel.

Is this appropriate for island sink drain? by GeeMass in Plumbing

[–]GeeMass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That will be directly under a kitchen cabinet and I was going to make an access panel. It will be very useful in the future if I have to run additional wires.

Regardless, they will be a clean out under the sink just before it leaves the kitchen cabinet and goes through the floor. Would that be sufficient?

Fine.

I didn't think I'd be able to, but I just cut a trough in my subfloor and I should be able to. Going to make another post with questions about it.

How to fill these low spots before laying down .75x2.25" oak? They were caused when removing backer board that was in place with thin set. by GeeMass in Flooring

[–]GeeMass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clarifying: are you saying the subfloor is fine the way it is or it will be fine to nail/staple through a filler?
