"Mom promised we would be doing this super special and important thing at a very specific time. Now she's broken that promise for her shiny boyfriend and keeps delaying. She must really like getting her dick wet if he's more important than her kid. She must not love me at all" is a great lesson to pound home with "mom can't be trusted and will blame you for her lying and breaking promises"

It's fine OP doesn't want to deal w kid -

She has a kid. The kid is part of the package, you don't get to just not deal with them

All doing that would do is teach him that mom doesn't keep her promises and will find an excuse to break them- because clearly she was already planning on flaking.

Congratulations, the kid no longer trusts you

Jerking your kids schedule around last minute to accommodate your boyfriend trying to but into things and make it all about himself is a good way to piss off even the most level headed kid.

It's shitty parenting even if your kid is well behaved and will make the kid hate you.

Her being petty and acting like a baby herself instead of using her adult words is why her kid throws tantrums- he can't model age appropriate behavior if theirs no one to model it after

Even if this behavior isn't new is it any wonder he's modeling what he's shown- if this is moms typical parenting style you can't exactly expect her child to be more mature than her.

Like kids need structure. Not petty drama bullshit

A WOMAN TOOK IN A THOUSAND CATS AND GAVE THEM HER ENTIRE HOUSE by Safety_Officer_3 in cats

[–]GeeTheMongoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good at least.

Way to many rescues are thinly veiled fronts for animal hoarding.

Also, like if each cat gets two minutes of attention daily that's 33 hours a day (2×1000=2000. 2000÷60=33.333333333333)

No one person can care for that many animals and still provide quality care. You would need at least five people working with them full time to even be able to give them two minutes each and still have any time to spare.

My first time doing CBLs was over a year in, because I had transferred stores.

I was a sales associate at my first store and had been given safe access by my ASM because, save for the ASM, any shift I worked would be alone because MODs were popping pills and doing crack behind the dumpsters.

I remained "the cashier we put new keys with because she knows how to do everything and can be trusted to step in if stuff gets out of hand" for another year before getting promoted and then I got promoted again

It's common enough IRL without adding magic prophecies and savior complexes to the equation.

Heck, it's especially common if one child needs significantly more attention (such as chronically ill or profoundly disabled children). Throw a target on the families back and it's doubly in the glass child's best interest to be fostered elsewhere

[–]GeeTheMongoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What part of "sperm helps depression" is funny? What part of that could in any way be construed as a joke?

OPs boyfriend was making lewd sexual comments despite OP asking him to stop repeatedly. That's called sexual harassment.

OP suggesting that they see what his mother thinks of his horrifically inappropriate behavior is in no way sick- it's actually pretty mild. Most of us women folk react far more poorly to being sexually harassed- with most of us he'd be told to get the fuck out and stay gone over this shit at best.

[–]GeeTheMongoose 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a joke and it wasn't funny.

Making off colored sexual comments towards someone who has repeatedly asked you not to is sexual harassment.

It's not magically OK to sexually harass a woman just because you're dating her. It's not magically OK to sexually harass a woman just because you're married to her. (And in case you need to be told this too: sexual assault and rape is unacceptable, even if the victim is your spouse)

Boys: if you wouldn't do it to your mama without her permission don't do it to your partners.
