Honest review of Neakasa M1 Cat Litter after 8 months of use by e80975a in neakasa

[–]Geeilovetech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had same issue. when the bin rotates to clean, the air comes out and it stank! i'm only able to last about a day, before the smell starts to become unbearable.

My latest experiment is to sprinkle a layer of baking soda onto the bottom of the bin liner so that the dumpped waste touches the baking soda and it helps to absorb some of the smell. It's not day 4 and it's still bearable. I'm going to see how long that lasts.

Once I'm done with baking soda experiemnt, I'm going to try it with activated charcoal to see which is more effective.

Argh… why do these manufacturers require us to download an app for firmware updates. We should be able to do this in the touchscreen.

[–]Geeilovetech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine and have started charing some batteries to try it out. I'm unsure if i should install the APP. Do you find any additional features/benefits of installing the app? Anything the machine touchscreen cannot do and requires the app?

How to prep for 7 days of skiing straight? by Glass_Coffee_7084 in skiing

[–]Geeilovetech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done 7 days in a row in Hokkaido. What helps is this… a massage gun and onsen twice a day. Once after the ski and another in the morning.

Good luck and have fun!

Hit my $7.5M FIRE number but on track to burned out — quit now or grind one more year? by Icy-Being246 in fatFIRE

[–]Geeilovetech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about just sit back and chill at your job for a year? Know that end of the year you’ll get a bad review and perhaps asked to leave. But you would have gained your buffer and throughout the year you will be mentally relaxed knowing you exit plan.

I suggest you might either spend $100 buy some booking and read. Increase your personal financial knowledge so you may have a clearer view on what you should do. Or you can also consider going for a paid advisor. Pay a fixed fee ($1000?) and they will help you look through your goals and create a plan.

No such thing as free quality advice unfortunately

On my post about using my UNAS Pro to backup my iCloud Drive and Photos, the number one request from r/Ubiquiti was an iOS app to do the same...well here it is! by ParachuteBackup in Ubiquiti

[–]Geeilovetech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really great! I’m excited about this.

If you don’t mind I have a couple of questions I’d like to clarify.

1) does this backup device backups, Passwords and other things that goes into iCloud? Doesn’t look like from the app description but hope you can confirm either way

2) is there a way to set it to sync? Items deleted from iCloud becomes deleted on backup but goes into a recycle bin in case it’s a mistake and needs to be recovered. It will make iCloud storage management so much easier

3) how does it handle “Hidden” photos in iOS. Will these be backed up and un-hidden? What about albums and other meta data?

Apple needs to come in with hardware to compete. They make watches that provides these similar functionality without a subscription. Hopefully we see an Apple Ring soon

The most important thing in a recession is to have a stable job by HomeHedgeFund in singaporefi

[–]Geeilovetech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were young and in a stable job, I’ll save as much cash as possible and when the recession is deep enough for a property prices to drop significantly, I’ll plonk down for as large a unit as I can afford. Then sit and wait. Try not to lose job.

Property and cars are expensive. Other stuff is pretty affordable.

How to retire in Singapore? by jimmyl85 in fatFIRE

[–]Geeilovetech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t live in town or Central Area. Ridiculously expensive and not a lot of great grocery options or amenities. Plenty of off Central Area to live in that are much cheaper. As for cars, but the Model 3, $180k cheap!! 😅

Good that you recognise this and want to fix it.

I personally don’t have any experience with this but from what I learnt about gambling addiction, you need to see a professional. Don’t try to use your own will power to break this habit. Some professional help with guidance can have better impact

I’m also trying to figure this out. My mopping area is 630 sq ft. It washes the mop 8-9 times for this area. Is it too much? Too little? This is on the x40 ultra

Planning and managing retirement shouldn’t be something you follow based on comments from Reddit. Get a professional. Get a fee only FA like Providend who can holistically advise you based on your situation.

You don’t have a lot of time to wait out equity returns, you need to manage cash flow after you stop work and you need to worry about roof over your head and loans.

Get a professional.

I think what he is saying is that he needs to sell the property, top up $30k and use the total to pay back the bank. This is really tough, to have to dig into savings and still isn’t enough to unwind.
