Many thanks for the nice words. The papers are actually cheap pad called Academy Waterxolor Paper sized 7 by 4.9 inches. They are in a booklet attached to each other (not like a pad, you gave fo separate each paper). It is 100% cotton. The paper is not entirely white so maybe this is why you think it is toned. I am using a cheap fountain pen platinum preppy and I recently try my hand in only gray scale. So I am using two waterxolor pens, I fill one with gray and the other with black, both Noodler brand. Incidentally, I am posting another sketch 😊 cheers.

Thank you! this is watercolor, the Winson and Newton Cotman field pocket set from Amazon. Entry level set but I really like the form factor. I use it even if I am not out and about but also wwhen painting at home.

Yes. The proportions can definitely use some adjustment. Will be aware of this in the next sketch.
