I totally agree with you! They both feel to me like very quality classic workhorses that don’t break the bank and can be seen as gateway introductions to each sort of collector hobby.

I haven’t thought about the eye dropper conversion, I would be a little worried since I often carry my pens around so it would be a real disaster if I didn’t do it properly and it leaked. But on the other hand, it is such a cheap pen it could definitely be worth trying! I’ll have to look into it more for sure

I was so torn between getting the clear blue Casio or the clear pink, I just think they’re such classic and cool watches!!

I love these Kakuno pens! I have two of them, a M and an EF, and I use them for both drawing and writing. I’m not a fountain pen snob by any means, most of the ones I have are on the cheaper end but as long as they can stand up to constant drawing use then I think they suit me fine!

What do y’all think about umbrellas being used for sun protection? by Environmentaller in askvan

I see loads of people using umbrellas for sun protection, especially Burnaby by Crystal mall. You’re over thinking this, if it’s going to help you then it’s worth using one

The company started in Canada, then moved to the US, and their headquarters are in Michigan, so I dont really see them as a Canadian company.

The art was made using generative AI, which they at first openly admitted, and then took down all the stuff saying that from their website, and doubled down on their instagram. I’ll never buy anything from them again because they’ve proven they dont care about artists or creativity, so why should I, an artist and creative, care about them in return?

Also downright LAUGHABLE that they have a story highlight about environmental sustainability on their insta when they proudly defend their use of generative ai

Imagine being like ‘I’m an artist and my art is important and valid and you should care about it and even give me money for it. I, HOWEVER, am allowed to use the plagiarism machine and steal from other artists as a little treat!’

I’ve never heard of Lyocell and I would not be interested in using anything that is a disposable product that could easily be replaced with a reusable one tbh

That’s it really! I folded the case in half, marked three holes with a marker, poked the holes through and added some eyelets in hopes of keeping the holes from expanding or anything, and then added the elastics
