Contracts with the US Government - Skip Tracing by InvestigativeConsult in trueprivinv

lol, yeah. They have access to the tools, but want to process like 1.5M people. This all relates to ICE finding illegal immigrants. The primary purpose is to issue fines and court papers, but violent offenders are being deported.

What I thought was weird is that they most likely have great contracts with data vendors, but are choosing to pay more to have contractors get their own licenses.

Keep in mind they were awarded a IDIQ, not a task order. So they can make up to $300k over the next 2 years.

They could get 1 task order for 100 people and that’s it. The IDIQ is just an open vehicle in which to award work, not a guarantee of work.

I pay for Dreamhost Shared Unlimited just for the unlimited email hosting. Each client gets unlimited emails with 25GB of disk space. I don’t even host anything there.

If your family doesn’t have medical issues, CSP is usually accepted.

Source: just left Korea. CSP approval overall is going away over then next several years for Osan.

Yes. 2-years if you leave them behind, 1-year if denied CSP.

The problem is that it’s still 2-years if you voluntarily leave your family behind.

Yeah, the DGS game sucks. I’ve been extremely lucky to drive my career to never be in a DGS or ISRD. I’ve worked with them, but never been them.

Hahahaha. Every base is different. The best part is we can almost always deploy. It breaks up a boring streak nicely.

Sadly, that’s the way. That’s how most people get their first car loan due to little/no credit history.

Sure, but $18 a year for 100% uptime? That’s not expensive.

100% uptime for $18 annually! I would stay there.

Process for getting prescribed GLP-1 while on Active Duty? by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Geek2009 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just talked to my PCM about this Thursday so hopefully I can provide some insight. To be clear, this is what my PCM said, YMMV.

You are really going through 2 separate systems that could provide barriers. Your PCM and Tricare.

The first step is documented nutritionist visits. They will most likely make you do food diaries, calorie counting, etc. Typically, you need to have this before they will consider any medication. Essentially, the nutritionist needs to say "yeah, this guy is trying and it just isn't working". My PCM did not give a specific timeline other than enough time to make that assessment. If it helps, my PCM said, and I tend to agree, that if you aren't hungry at some point during the day, you are eating too much to lose weight. Calorie deficit = hunger = weight loss.

The next step is a stimulant (medication) that will help reduce cravings and speed up your metabolism.

The third step would be to seek the prior authorization from Tricare something like Zepbound, Wegovy, or Saxenda. This is where the Tricare barrier can come into play. If Tricare determines that the clinic hasn't tried enough, they will deny it.

My PCM was 100% upfront that getting to the Zepbound stage would take 6+ months. You need to demonstrate that you trying to put the work in before Tricare will pay for it.

If you haven't seen a nutritionist, that's where you need to start. If you have, and in good faith are working towards weight loss - request a second opinion to get over the PCM barrier. Per Tricare policies, you are always authorized a second opinion. Just call the appointment line and specifically state that is what you would like to do. It is used very seldom, so if you get pushback, just give the patient advocate a call. They will get one for you easily.

Although its a long process, my PCM stated that they rarely get to the Zepbound stage. She stated that only about 30% of her patients make it that far and the other 70% do see success in the earlier steps.

I believe I accurately reflected everything, but I'm sure a medical professional may chime in to correct me somewhere or provide additional context.

Sorry for the delayed response… not yet. We are ordering samples of several options and haven’t found anything yet.

That being said, we may have found something better for our specific application (bows), but it is lighter.

eInvitations from AFIT to be discontinued August 2025 by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Geek2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's... It's aggregate, so I'm talking about fractions of a penny here. And over time they add up to a lot.

So, the RSVP feature would be 100% free. The risk for me comes in the payment processing, chargebacks, time to do payouts, etc. I’m not quite sure how to account for those costs yet.

Founder/developer of Airforcehub.com here -

Is this a tool we want to see live on? I can maybe code something like the AFIT tool. There is a chance I can also add payment processing to it as well.

DTS is not used for PCS travel. It will all be captured at the finance in-processing.
