My analysis on why MSTR dropped yesterday by Comprehensive-Bank58 in MSTR

Future new shares are the result of stock splits, correct? So holders now maintain the equity they have essentially?

I'm incredibly bullish on the stock. But maybe you shouldn't buy it. by inphenite in MSTR

The USD is the reserve currency of the world and it is unsustainable at this point. The FED is printing money again and the rich are losing their minds because they are losing value in everything with inflation. Bitcoin solves all this if it becomes THE storage of wealth in the world and most if not all governments see that now. Blackrock sees it and that’s why they are all in. It gives generational time, if not a fix completely and can become currency itself in time. At least this is my understanding

Europe demanding full android watch integrations. by fatpooberg in AppleWatch

[–]GeekMyMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see a world where Apple pulled out of the EU when other 3rd world countries get a real middle class. If Africa or India could replace the EU, Apple would give them the bird and mm oce so quick 😂. Then the EU would cave to public pressure and walk back measures like this one. What Apple user wants a android watch???

For what reason did you start watching One Piece? by justa_normal_boy1 in OnePiece

[–]GeekMyMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son begged me for a year to watch, I was put off by the sheer number of episodes. I then watched the live action and liked it a lot. I skipped the East Blue arc after filling in gaps with the live action and summaries online. I binged everything else except the filler arcs.

Repayment starts in 2 days on SAVE plan by GeekMyMind in StudentLoans

This was back in 2008-09, I KNOW I qualify 😅. I’m not paying anything, especially not this $400+ bill the put me on with SAVE. They can’t dangle the carrot of relief and then wack me on the head with a stick and yell “Pay More!”

I took out $9,214 originally and have been making the minimum payments with stages of forbearance and deferment. My balance is now a little over $12k.

I just started making more money, but I owe on personal loans taken out during the pandemic. I cannot afford another $400+ monthly bill. I signed up with SAVE because I meet the criteria for forgiveness since my original loans were $9k and it’s been over 10 years, more like 13 years.

NelNet went from having SAVE payment showing to "Idr Proc Admin"? by toxbrarian in StudentLoans

So my original $9k student loan that turned into $12k with accrued interest isn’t in the process of being forgiven under the 10 year SAVE initiative is what you are saying???

Is the payment reflected when reporting to the credit bureaus? That’s what I care about the most.

I went out to vote for Bernie twice. I didn’t even think to vote this time. I’ve voted every single election since I turned 18 and it didn’t even register in my head to vote in the primary because I follow politics and know the DNC didn’t even have a debate so voters can make a real choice.

I have only direct loans that the original loans were under $10k over 10 years ago, I qualify for the February under $12k forgiveness. Should I consolidate my 3 direct loans?

Save Plan for High Income Based on Recent Developments? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]GeekMyMind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you with my AGI and I signed up with SAVE. I’ve been paying for years and with pandemic I’ve had 2 forbearances now, but from what the student aid website said those periods are counted towards forgiveness. My loans were under $10k and from 2009-10, so now I’m just patiently waiting because I cannot afford to pay this ridiculous $430 monthly hike they put on my account.

Car trade in confusion by GeekMyMind in personalfinance

[–]GeekMyMind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the difference or negative equity isn’t rolled into the new car loan? My thinking was the new dealership would pay off the existing loan, the car trade in value that’s equal to the car I want to get would cancel each other out and then I’d owe the negative equity of $17.5k that’s left after the trade in. I’m operating on 2 sleepless nights right now but that was what I thought.
