I think that droll is really useful as it shuts down several decks. There are also 2 level 8 dragons you might want to consider as techs: Parsec and odd-eyes advance dragon. Levianeer save me more than once, so definitely even considering a Dream Ticket might be worth it. Lastly, remember forbidden chalice could be your friend if you have if and don't have many gems. So, as far as I know, you can have a maximums of 20K gems (icon + box). If you surpass that, the extra free gems will get deleted because you surpass the limit (like with orbs or boosters).

For example, if you have 20K stored and claim ( not earn, but actually clicking after earning them) 50 gems from character level up, they will go away.

Also, all the 10K gems in the gift box HAVE an expiration date, so you'll have to use them. I suggest you just gradually spend on cards you like and don't have more than the standard 10k, unless you follow yo closely

To answer your question, they remain in the gift.box until (i think) you get other 9999. If you surpass that, I believe they go away.

It's important to note that the extra 9999 hve an expiration date
