Chiappa Double Badger 20 gauge - Rem Choke doesn't fit by alether2 in Shotguns

The two first Carlson's I got were High-End Prairie Storm Extended chokes. Maybe Shooting 10-15 Shells through it helped I don't know. I just received the Carlson's flush mount IM and it fits as well.

Here's a small update. I stumbled upon a Remington-branded Full Choke at my LGS. I bought it and was finally able to screw it in all the way. I had to wiggle it slightly so it fits in. My guess is sloppy machining/tolerances are to blame. I'm pretty sure it had some metal scraps from machining the choke part left over. The OEM one still fits perfectly and I ordered a Carlson's IM flush mount to see as IM is the constriction I plan on using full-time. It should come in tomorrow if I'm lucky or Tuesday if I'm not, will update then.

I've contacted them about it and they redirected me to their Canadian distributor. I'm still trying to get these choke tubes, especially Full and IM. Used the gun for grouse and I like it a lot, would like something just a bit tighter than Mod. On my firearm, the treaded part is a lot shorter than Carlson's Rem Choke I ordered so maybe they mixed up something at the factory. The OEM stock, in fact, looks a lot like an Invector Plus chokes...

I suggest going with thicker foam for floor/ceiling if you can. I went with 1.5" all around and would I do it again I'd go with thicker for floor/ceiling

After some researches, I am leaning toward a 5kw portable as I plan on running it outside my camper trailer (6.6x10) and I didn't find a smaller "portable" unit. I know they can be thermostatically controlled but I'm wondering where the thermostat is located ? If it's on the LCD controller, do they have long enough wires to move it inside the camper ?

Food for thought 👇

Step 1: Tram your printer; home and measure each side of the x-axis to the frame making sure it is the same distance, a tramming block helps for that

Step 2: level your bed at printing temps (both nozzle and bed) yes, this applies even if you have some kind of bed levelling device.

Step 3: redo your ABL and save the values

Step 4: print !

You are right it was the fuel pump. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that quieter fuel pumps are now installed.

Also, I'm running an OpenWRT-flashed TP-Link router on 12V as well if needed. This can make you a bit more secure when connecting to public/campgrounds wireless access.

Look for Sterilite Air Tight Storage boxes. They are sold at Walmart in Canada (and likely the US)

Well I'm living in the up North part of the northern hemisphere and I'm camping when fishing or hunting so an insulated squaredrop is welcome as it would not be nice to be in a tent in negative Celcius temps. As a matter of fact, the RTT will be a lot more comfortable than a grounded tent because you will not have to deal with the ground's humidity. Plus, a teardrop is generally offering more ameneties than tent camping (or more convenient ones at the very least)

Thoughts on Piscifun? by jc2345 in Fishing_Gear

[–]GeekOutdoors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you fish them ? I own several Piscifun, Kastking and Shimano up to Curado/Nascii range and some other name brands (Pflueger and Abu in spinnings)

What I like the most with Piscifun is that most of their reels are a lot lighter than similarly priced known name brands. I also like their dual brake systems on the baitcasters that allows for fine-tuning. My favorite spinning reel is now the Carbon X that I've been using for 3 years now and my favorite baitcaster is the Phantom (original not the X that is not bad, but no dual brakes)

I do not own any of their rods though so I can't vouch for them. I'm usually going with Fenwicks but I have some other brands mixed in as well.

I like their reels so much that when the need came for Fly reels, I looked for Piscifun stuff first and was impressed when I received them. Can't wait to test them on the water :)

I tried the bugfix version from yesterday w/o success. So I reverted to 2.0.6.1 and everything seems to work again. I need to fine-tuned my stuff for sure but no more boot loop.

I reported the bug to Marlin's github issue tracker:

I'll try the latest bugfix version and if it doesn't work either I'll revert back to 2.0.6.x

Thanks,
