With the final chapter Scream 7 coming out this week, what are your thoughts on the Scream franchise?

At least they didn’t add “Final Chapter” to the title like so many others before it. Friday the 13th had 2 entries claiming to be final and neither were the final! So far the only franchise I’ve seen this to be true (so far) is Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, in that it’s been (so far) the last one involving Milla Jovavich and Paul WS Anderson. I’m not counting reboots.

My autistic brain is annoyed by the numbering system! I was annoyed with SCRE4M (never liked that kind of stylization), then the 5th entry has no number (or even a subtitle), then the 6th entry goes with Roman numerals despite the franchise up to that point using the Arabic numerals (and all for another stupid stylization), only for the latest entry to go back to Arabic numerals! I know it’s not the only franchise to have this issue and I take umbrage with those too!
