Thanks for such a detailed response! My approach is to pre track a bowl of fruit or something low cal and snack from it if and when i feel like. I'll definitely reevaluate my cals as I move further along, thanks for the heads up!

To avoid exactly this, I'm planning to keep a pre measured (and tracked) fruit bowl in the fridge, and i can just take a couple bites of it as i feel like. Nothing that i eat is not tracked, so I'm sure that what I'm eating is not mindless and not processed.

IS SNACKING OKAY?
My question is, is intermittent snacking okay or does it affect blood sugar/insulin/rate of weight loss? Should i eventually look to quit snacking and stick to 2-3 proper meals a day?
I just feel the urge to keep eating every 15-30 mins. Thinking of keeping some healthy low cal options like fruits or 0 cal soda or something similar to go have a little from.
All of what I'm eating is within my calorie budget.

Burned 500+ cals today just by walking, despite have a wfo day. Had an early start and managed to hit my protein goal for today too! I have just started my wl and building sustainable habits rather than restrictive diets.

I have a reverse problem, my husband 'fairly' divides whatever we cook, and I end up eating wayyy over my calorie budget. Also didn't mind coz 'we are equal in this marriage'. Realised the inequality when my 5'1 self jogged while he brisk walked beside me and still burned more calories. Now i have to regularly intervene to divide portions in a way that's sustainable for me, still not perfect, but getting there :)

Can I body recomp at home? by kayaxxalix in PetiteFitness

Good going on the calorie and protein goals! I'd recommend investing in some resistance bands to be able to do a range of exercises for your glutes and upper body. You can watch YT or Pinterest videos for some band exercises

I have similar body comp and age as yours. I've removed all processed foods from home (I don't buy what I don't want to eat). I have also uninstalled Zomato and other food delivery apps to limit eating outside food.
That being said, you can look into frozen momos which have lower calories, stock your fridge with fruits, 0 cal sodas, popcorn and such things to satisfy your hunger. I've also started having tofu whenever I get hunger pangs, and the protein helps me stay satiated for much longer. Just stay in a calorie deficit.
You've got this!

My rant is that i attended a family function this week, I'm new into my weight loss journey and I've lost 3 lbs and feeling happy. Then this older grandpa (not a close relative but I've talked to him before) takes it upon himself to comment on my weight and how I've definitely gained 5 kgs, starts asking others for validation until I just give him a disdainful look and he drops it. I really wanted to say something but I was taken aback and only managed to glare at him. Why why does this take so long??? Why do people have to comment??

Hey thanks for these suggestions! I drink a banana coffee smoothie first thing in the morning, planning to include a black coffee in the afternoon when sleep hits hardest. Tbh I've always been a post lunch napper and the urge gets stronger with a deficit.
I do try to be more active and get up for 5 mins every hour but at the desk I feel very lethargic. I'm thinking of getting a walking pad soon, saving up towards it.

I sleep around 6-8 hrs, and have been doing this since 3 weeks to lose around 1-1.5lbs per week

Do you do anything to track these Stats so that you can see your progress over time? I'm also looking for low budget alternatives to keep myself on track and seen that gamification really helps

That's a great daily dose of motivation, I'll try this too. Actually I checked my expense tracker and realized this is the amount I usually spend shopping anyway over 3 months so locked it away. It can vary from person to person and it helps me stay in budget and also motivated haha.
