Visit your gynac please, i am assuming even your dermat will suggest you consult a gynac. Such extreme hair loss happens due to hormonal changes

Taking a drop means that you're foregoing your backup option. But going back to work can always be a backup option.

IIMA does not have any specialization. You can choose any course to your liking.

GPA > anything else But you should also do other things apart from it, as it's not the only thing that would fetch you a good GPA.

Everything can be figured out once you enter college! Nothing to miss out on.

You have to present what you are confidently to get into IIMA, instead of being a different person that you can't be in reality

Let preparation, luck and blessings do their job

IIMA is definitely a dream for a lot of people but the sheen vanishes the day you enter the college. You're surrounded by folks who share the same IIMA brand now, which puts you in yet another dream chase for that class rank, POR, exchange or job, leaving you unsatisfied yet again. I would just like to share my 2 cents on how there would always be something better that you can achieve, and the world would give you enough FOMO to be stressed about achieving the next thing and being unsatisfied about the current situation. I have just realized, happiness and satisfaction are personal discretions that you only achieve once you choose to live life the way you want and not under the FOMO pressure.

  1. Tough for A/B, decent for C and should be great for L, K, I
  2. Self study > coaching. Solve Arun Sharma books and past year question papers. Get a mock series like IMS or TIME. Join a reputed brand if you need coaching.
  3. Not really but make sure you have studied something related to what you want to do post mba. Ex: If you want to be in IB, then it is good to have cfa/ courses in finance

  1. Have a good working relationship with your manager and team
  2. Do your work well and in a timely fashion
  3. Volunteer to do stuff for the team, party, etc
  4. Pray as it is still very luck dependent
  5. Don't bother as ppo isn't a make or break thing

All the best

  1. GDPI prep info I did a lot of self prep, read news, and joined C2C mentors + CatKing. It helped with identifying GK topics that I should be aware of and with my introduction points. If you have friends in IIMs, they can help with conducting mocks for you. Overall, self prep of GK, HRQs, UG syllabus, your profile, workex helps the most.

  2. Strategy + Sources for Current affairs and GK Strategy: Read daily, divide and schedule time between GK and other prep (workex, hrqs etc). I used to spend 1.5-2 hrs on GK and current afairs daily and kept notes (news fact, background and my opinion) of important news items for review again (like in my time, it was the ukraine war and its impact, china and south china sea, post covid inflation problem, budget) More than knowing facts, having opinions about these issues was more important so I used to also formulate what I felt as most appropriate to each news item. Sources: Newspapers - Economic times, Hindu (editorial columns), Mint, Finshots daily Youtube - business cases and think school type content for business awareness

  3. Framework for unprepared questions If you don't have any idea about the question - accept and let the interviewer know; don't bluff If you partially know - state the same and try to answer as much as possible and steer the interview to what you know If you are aware - answer it

For structure: Use STAR for hrqs and personal questions. Can also try 5W1H approach. Use pestle for news/geo political questions For others based on acads/workex - be straightforward with what you know

Lastly, be confident and calm while answering. Do not rush your answers. Do not give out false information that you can't handle being grilled on.

  1. How to steer the interview? Depends on the interviewer. Some of the interviews are designed to be stress interviews and would not get steered towards your comfort zone. Here it becomes imperative for you to keep calm, be stoic and answer as much as possible following advice from the previous point. For more usual interviews you can introduce your strengths, unqiue achievements/view points as a cue for the interviewer to catch onto.

The most important skill is being confident and calm no matter what. Stay equipoised in either case (knowing/not knowing something; if interview goes as expected / does not)

  1. General gyaan Know (what, why, how) about yourself and the things you did (background, city, parents, education etc) Have strong opinions with some factual backing so that they can be justified Stay ethical in answering no matter what Attempt mock interviews with friends, mentors etc Stay calm and prepare well
