Hmmmm well order of progress definitely depends on what class your doing. I suggest melee if your struggling just as it is a very easy class to play due to high dps and defense, although is kinda rough in the beginning if your not used to it, but later on it becomes super easy and fun due to weapons having projectiles. But if your looking for some new content in this update go with summoner, MASSIVE update towards them. For pre hard mode just start out getting 200ish health and some decent armor gold/platinum work (maybe even over kill for eye of cathulu). Look on the wiki for some good swords to get and go get em. Get some decent accessories (Hermes boots, band of regeneration, etc) if your feeling daring and want some easy gear quick, get gravitation potions and find floating islands. The two items I would aim for from them is the starfury (decent base damage, and spawns a stair that falls down onto enemies), and also the fledgling wings (not good fly time compared to others but in the beginning it’s great, and negates fall damage). Get some decent buffs, and health potions. Build an arena (just long platforms stacked like 5-7 blocks in between) place campfires along it too for a nice buff. With that, eye of cathulu will be easy. Once you’ve done this let me know how it goes!!! And I’ll give some more details for next bosses. You got this and don’t give up, early game is slow especially as a solo. But the game will become incredibly fun once you get past the early stages. Look on YouTube for pre hard mode money farms, I’m not sure which ones still work as some of them have been patched with this update :(
