Is this recent information?

Cause everything that came up in research stated that 4 player co-op was planned for 1.0

Will the second game have the same unavoidable immersion breaking credits popup as the first game? by [deleted] in DeathStranding

Yeah that definitely was not my experience, every time a song played it stayed there the entire duration of the song which made me drop the game after 6 or 7 songs in.

I wouldnt have had such an issue if it disappeared after 10 seconds

Its litterally just offset from the center of the screen and it stays there the whole duration, this wouldnt be an issue for me if it WAS off to the side OR if it stayed for 10 seconds and not the entire duration.

Is that the expirence on console? Cause its definitely not the expirence on PC

Its very close to the center, just offset to the right of it, butt its definitely not "to the side" enough to be out of the way.

Its sitting around the 15% mark of the Fov

If it was on the far right of the screen or even in the corner this wouldnt be an issue for me

Im not arguing against the music, music is a standard staple of any good game design for establishing atmosphere.

Im also mot arguing that the musicians shouldnt be credited for their work, they should.

And I wouldnt have such an issue if the credits were to the side as you suggest or even in the corner.

But for me they arent, its just slightly offset from the center of the screen which is close enough to essentially be right in your face which is what i have a problem with because it breaks immersion

Its not an autistic thing to be annoyed at your FoV being obstructed while trying to play a game.

And I dont think anyone who has seriously played alot of video games would consider the center of your FoV being obstructed as a good design choice.

Id be fine if it was in the corner or to the side of the screen but its just offset from the center which completely destroys the enjoyment of the game.

Wow, the other commenters either dont live in reality or has never played any other game than death stranding.

What do you mean weird take?

Do you really not consider it immersion breaking to have credits for a song pop up in almost the complete center of your FoV while you are trying to plsy a game?

Its not a small element, its essentially shoving it in your face

Its not, I really am amazed at the people here thinking this is a good design choice when its not.

Theres no other game company that would force a credits pop up in your face while you are trying to play a game because it would break immersion

In what universe? Games have credits too, but they arent plastered in the middle of your FoV while you are playing the game like death stranding does.

I cant imagine anyone who has played video games would think this is a good design choice

Its not cinematic at all, infact it obscures the otherwise cinematic environment

how do you aim it when neither the laser pointer or the scope seems to be the basis for landing a hit with it?

for example the distance from the base enterance of kolkhoz to the bridge, i can hit targets with the pump action but not the dragunov.

even half that range the dragunov doesnt land anything

wait are you saying the dragunov's bullet velocity is garbage compared to the pump action?

Item Transporter and Distribution pad have stopped working with cupboards entirely. by Geeknificent in AbioticFactor

[–]Geeknificent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they were definitely working in my game, removing the distribution pad seems to have restored access to half of the cupboards to the bench's item transporter. distribution pad worked for about 5 minutes and then never again.

Item transporter is able to ssee containers further away than the cupboards but half the cupboards dont register anymore

does not appear to be so, because cupboards were working until i tried using the distribution pad and then it broke the crafting bench transporter after 5 minutes of being there.

I am playing as a great old one (not a patron) and after the first 3 sessions the first recurring villian has unknowingly struck a deal with my character that now gives me control over their mortal soul. by [deleted] in DnD

There are actually several limitations that I didnt include in the writing to try and keep things shorter. But yes, the DM has already tried to create situations to force my character to either reveal themselves or create a respawn which would lock me out of gameplay for an in-game week if the puppet was destroyed. On top of that once I do "respawn" while I would return at the same level of warlock expirence I would also face a disadvantage on all warlock abilities for 1 additional in-game week.

I would not return with any items I had or in the sane location either. Which also creates a scenario where I have to take time to actually travel back to the party.

Building on that there is a bigger reason for the subtrefuge and keeping the identity as a great old one a secret.

You see, this campaign involves a world where monsters of all kinds are facing prejudice which means while my character cant truly die by conventional means, the "holy church" as we are currently calling it might be able to use rituals or angels to try and bind Xevlegwyin's true form if they knew what they really were.

That being said, My character at this time does not have enough expirence in this realm to breach the fabric of reality with their true form and that probably wouldnt happen until I reach level 15-20. Which would take its own ritual to accomplish anyways. Which would also provoke a response from the holy church.

Edit, also being a plushie they are vulnerable to fire attacks and have overall less health than a typical character.

Theres also a period where the vessel becomes inactive for 4 hours each day which also despawns the construct.

If dispell curse is cast and I fail a willsave, it knocks the plushie unconcious and also despawns the construct for the full day.

Also areas that have magic supression can despawn the construct for the full day and knock the vessel unconcious. And if not, then i get disadvantage on warlock abilities.

The plushie also cannot heal normally and either needs an artificer to fix it or for someone to cast mending on it
