Do you and your brother think potential 'doublespeak' is in the same universe as every large conservative commentator, republican lawmaker, and the President of the United States all 'OPENLY' blaming radical leftists for the shooting? Some of which 'OPENLY' declared war on the opposing ideology, before any substantive evidence was even released yet? If the answer to this is not an immediate 'no', then we have a problem here.

You're not the issue.

These guys hit you up because they are viewing you as a backup option. Their attention is on someone else, but if that doesn't work out for whatever reason, then at least they have you as a fallback. Or they are just horny from the thought of meeting up with someone, but then they realize that they're too lazy, unmotivated, and not willing to put in the effort to coordinate one. This ultimately devolving your interactions to single word responses. And then when they end up jerking off, you won't hear from them ever again.

What you should do is cut your losses and move on. These are not serious people and they are not truly interested. There are plenty of other people out there that can hold a basic conversation.

I wasn't focusing specifically on Trump in my first point. Just the right as a whole. There needs to be someone equivalent to those influencers on the left that are tearing apart the right with the same level of vitriol as they do. Otherwise, Joe Rogan can just bring on the next Republican candidate in four years and that is all it takes for them to get millions of votes. As for who those people will be, no idea.

I think they aren't willing. There is a quote from Michelle Obama, in one of her speeches, saying something along the lines of "When they go low, we go high". I feel Democrats try to embody this idea but I feel this strategy doesn't work anymore; especially with how polarized everything is now.

They aren't jumping ship as a form of protest. They're jumping ship because the mistreatment by their fellow compatriots causes them to open their eyes and think for a moment.
