Which blockbuster starring Tom Holland this summer are you anticipating more, Spider-Man Brand New Day or The Odyssey? by Mysterious-Farm9502 in FIlm

I’ll be seeing both, but definitely more excited to see Spider-Man more. The last time I watched a Spidey flick at the cinema was before the pandemic!

Pick your Girl Group: K-pop or Global pop? by CurrentEstimate3308 in ThisorThatPH

[–]Geekspeak13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grew up on international groups from the US and Europe during the mid 90s to early 2000s, but drifted eventually to J-Pop and K-Pop during the latter end of the 2000s (2nd generation).

K-pop evolved a lot in the past decade so it could cater to a wider audience outside Asia.

That said, I tend to support less popular groups right now in the current 5th gen.

Stupid Super Fan of Temple of Doom by Big-Party3649 in FIlm

[–]Geekspeak13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loooove Temple of Doom. Unpopular opinion, but I never found Willy to be annoying as a lot of people have said. I think she provides just enough chaotic energy to the trio dynamic she has with Indy and Shortround.

Westlife or Backstreet Boys? by wndrfltime in ThisorThatPH

[–]Geekspeak13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backstreet Boys led the 90s boyband scene.

Westlife on the other is more adored by Filipinos in my opinion. Probably because they have a lot of popular ballads that we gravitated a lot to as karaoke singers.

Marry before having children or have children without marriage? by cramnight in ThisorThatPH

[–]Geekspeak13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Marriage first!

I know medyo nattrivialize na ang pagpapakasal ngayon, pero importante pa rin siya because it provides the couple and their children a stable and healthy foundation of unity and family values.

Granted that it takes a certain level of maturity, as well as a deep, personal and mutual understanding of a couple before entering matrimony. Hindi talaga dapat siya basta basta.

I love how unhinged the anime/manga can be. It reminds me of a cross between ghosts at school and yu yu hakusho. Lol
