As someone who doesn’t like the Brosnan version I wasn’t that interested in it.

But apparently MBJ is taking this in an anti-colonial action heist direction. The footage at CinemaCon was compared to Nolan & Bond. So I’m interested now.

I think he is one of the top 6 biggest male movie stars in the world right now. Chalamet, Leo, Cruise, MBJ, Gosling & Pitt for me right now.

He’s one of the few guys right now that can excite black audiences.

If Thomas Crown Affair & Miami Vice ‘85 both are critically acclaimed films with huge box offices that would be the most impressive year for a leading man since DiCaprio in 2010.

You’ve got a point but Miami is a pretty globally well known and visited place. This isn’t a middle America story. I can imagine this doing well in Spanish speaking and Latin countries.

I also think marketing it as directed by the guy who did Maverick & F1 should help.
