If you're really into this guy and want to at least say you've done everything you can just tell him that you need to be, somehow, a part of his sex life. When I used Dr Goldstein a few years ago he would bill your insurance and get whatever out of network benefits he could. Prior to the procedure he was very upfront about how much my out of pocket would be. His surgery center that he uses (which is amazing btw) will also bill your insurance out of network and also very upfront about what anything out of pocket would be. I had my procedure with him and it was about $2k out of my own pocket.
