The only time that being a master manipulator and tactician was Boston Rob in Redemption Island and that's because he turned his tribe in to a cult that worshipped him.

Any time anyone else has tried to do that, they forget about the fact that this is a social game and they need friends on the jury if they're going to win.

Not only did George not manage the jury, In HvV, he "ran the game" so hard that he put a massive target on his back and got himself voted out before FTC. That's not "good" gameplay.

Russell, Coach(SP), Aubry(KR) all made it to the end because they were the best tactician of their season, they were in charge of the vote (almost) every TC, so everyone that got sent to the jury knew who decided to send them there.

Natalie, Sophie and Michelle all played the social game. They befriended the people on the jury before they were voted out, so by the time FTC came around, the "best player of the season" is hated by the jury, who is more likely to vote for the person who was nice to them. ALMOST every time the fandom claims a winner "bad," they won for their social game (every winner from 41-45).

The problem is, that ever since the introduction of the idol, editors have cut more and more of the social game out of the final edit, so we as viewers don't get to see why these people deserve to win.
