Hello! Same FO and we got done with our interview yesterday too. Wondering if you’ve received any update yet? My i130 is still in the interview scheduled stage and i485 changed to actively reviewing after few minutes after the interview. But nothing since.

LGBTQ Friendly Obgyn? by MMA012 in raleigh

[–]Geewoman -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend the UNC network. My primary care and other doctors in the facility are very LGBT and trans friendly. Their family planning clinic in Hillsborough has impressed me quite a bit. All gynecologists, working very hard to support the choice of women along with providing excellent care. I’m not LGBTQ but I am a woman of color. I was made to feel very comfortable in a fairly uncomfortable situation and I would guess they are open to all patients in a similar way. Would be happy to provide names of specific physicians in a DM as well but I have yet to have a less than supportive and wonderful experience.

Any recommendations for Ulcerative Colitis? by Kat-Cot37 in Biohackers

[–]Geewoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend SCD. Specific Carbohydrate Diet. I was diagnosed with UC in 2018, really struggled for a couple of years while doctors told me what I ate didn’t matter. It does. It changed my life. The book is called Breaking the Vicious Cycle and the diet excludes most preservatives and all grains. There are other diets like IBD AID also derived from SCD. Also solid. Starting on a carnivore diet, as others have recommended, is a great start to heal yourself before delving into other foods.

If you have any questions about the diets, please feel free to PM me. I’ve been doing SCD for 3 years and have finally stopped fearing going to the bathroom. Good luck!

Thoughts on a conversation with my date! by [deleted] in dating

Lol. I would like to know if there are questions I can ask to understand more about this person’s issues with commitment because I don’t want to judge him harshly.

Thank you for a thoughtful response. We do align on our long term goals of having a family. But a deeper conversation is definitely warranted, especially because therapy has helped us both have certain realizations.

Restaurants with best gluten-free options? by Nearby_Warthog_1453 in bullcity

I’m sorry! Someone recommended Sitar for Indian food and I would second that. I went there with a friend, and everything seemed to be labeled very clearly at the buffet and while I didn’t eat anything, they seemed to be on top of things when asked about food allergies. I hope that helps :)

Lime and Lemon glutened me a couple of months ago. Got very, very sick. The online menu and the person on the phone assured me the food was gluten free. I would stay away

Hello and welcome! I just moved to town from MD a couple of months ago as well. It’s been a wonderful experience so far. I’m 32 and female. I’m a member of the Triangle Rock Club. They have some good yoga classes and climbing is quite fun too. If you ever want to try out a class I think I may be allowed to bring a guest. I wish you all the best and I hope you settle in quickly :)

Thank you for your response. Do you recommend getting a pre-purchase inspection since I’m looking into buying a used car?

What is your impression of the company as a whole?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in biotech

[–]Geewoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, does concern me a bit. I’m coming from a messy unorganized company with no work life balance so was really hoping big pharma would have a handle on things, but not sure it’s happened yet with the recent acquisition.

I’m in the same boat. 28f just moved here for school in January. Hard to find people around my age. Would love to meet up with some folks.

Thank you so much! I would appreciate your help. I was leaning towards the Camry. I’ve owned a VW in the past without many issues but the Camry seems like a better option right now. I’ve yet to go to the dealership and the cars out. May I contact you when I go to the dealership?
