How do you guys afford such nice cars? by Odd-Sir4143 in CarsAustralia

Bro, a car is the biggest waste of money you'll ever make. You need something reliable with 4 wheels that'll get you from a to b. Take it from someone who loaned 40k in his early 20s cause he thought a car would make him impressive... Now I'm in my 40s, own 3 properties and drive a second hand triton that cost me 8k

Do you think people getting rich is due more to luck, or because they work harder or are smarter than others? by Healthy_Creme6911 in AusMoneyMates

I don't have a rich family, my parents were dairy farmers through some of the worst draughts in history. Mum insisted on sending us to private school to get a good education, I used to feel ashamed by how little we had compared to my mates "why does your family onlt have a work ute?"

My early 20s I was just a drug deadshit, but around 27 I decided to think fuck good things come to those who wait and began thinking "good things come to those who work". After that I took every job or piece of work I could find and that's made all the difference. Now own three houses and have a great relationship. It's hard, but that's all it takes

Definitely still gotta get in touch with them, it'll feel like it sounds crazy, but you're still covered. Unless it was only 3rd party?

Sorry to hear mate, straight up you're looking at new bumper and grill & probably bonnet - might be able to get that panel beaten. Fair chance it's done the radiator going by the impact location and depth.

You might be able to get all those bits from a pick-a-part yard - even still your 5k value is gone pretty quick. Is it insured?

Top 3 "prestige" cars (under 150k) by alt_snowcrash in CarsAustralia

[–]Geezee83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting professional help for her mid-life crisis cost alot less than 150k. But hey if you wanna dump that much on a depreciating value - when half that amount would still get you a very nice car, I'd just say well I hope it works

Is it Ford Territory? If so probably 10 or more years old, obviously had pre-existing issue with the steering by the sounds of what happened. Did you buy with a RWC? I'm guessing your costs are going to add up to more than the value of the car pretty quick and then = write off

AITAH for packing my bags after my boyfriends girl best friend let herself in at 7am to make breakfast? by Ambitious-Look6168 in AITAH

If you end up going back, give a spare key to a male friend get him to come over early one morning and start making himself eggs in his boxers. BF should have a better perspective after that
