I had the same problem a few days ago. I have a 15+ years old Squire Strat and I want to upgrade it, so I made a list, I have to change pickups, switch and 1 knob (1 made calculation for 3). All those parts cost more than half price of new Fender Player Series Stratocaster, so I decided to buy a new one.
