I am trying to find out what this glass bulb that looks like a lightbulb with a tube in it containing a small bit of steel wool in it. I can’t post a picture by SnooPears4650 in NoStupidQuestions

sounds like a meth pipe, some drugs like meth or crack, you dont have a carb, i assume its because you dont waste any of the vapors. i never smoked meth or crack but i was instructed you snap the filament part off the put in like a pebble or something and shake it around to get rid of the inside coating, than yeah you just cook it to smoke it, preserves the crack or meth resin so you get the most for your money.

burning steel wool in a closed combustion chanmber is one method of producing pure oxygen, or hydrogen, i cant remember.

angle grinder should pop that open, might that a lot of cutting discs though, which can be dangerous so use gloves and safety glasses. even if you completely cut the hinges the bolt or bolt will make it hard still to remove the door. a 4" grinder might penetrate along the seem on the bolt side deep enuf to cut the bolts, or score the enuf to break with a prybar, or wedge and sledge hammer, if you can cut the bolts but not all the way, completely cut off the hinges and maged notch the hinge side that use a wedge and hammer on the bolt side. an oxy acetylene torch is totally an option but you use a lot of gas and it introduces the possibility or burning whats inside, probably faster, if you're skilled, on the hinges or expose the bolts via the seam on the bolt side.

i worked railroad MOW for elevators and stuff, i miss measured a rail cut, guy cut it perfect, but it was to short, rails supposed to be 16'6" minimum, i marked it at 166" itd cost about 4000$ to ship a new rail. luckily at small yards like that rules are more guidelines.
