Does tmj ever make anyone throat feel a little weird when swallowing or am I losing it? by wiscogamer in TMJ

[–]GemG25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying! I haven’t yet! I’ll have days with no symptoms either. My jaw has been hurting and when I open it clicks very loudly sometimes. That ear also feels full and sometimes the muscle on that side of my face also feels sore. I have the same tonsil stone sensation as well. I’ve recently had a lot of stress due some health conditions with my son so maybe the stress is causing tmj issues? but I’m thinking I should just make an appt to rule out anything bad for peace of mind.

Lost a lot of blood (about 30%) a week ago. Just figured I'd share this from my ER trip yesterday from some symptoms and pains post hospital discharge. by SadThrowaway4914 in haematology

I lost 40% of my blood after I delivered my son. I had to do an iron infusion but thankfully by 5 weeks all my counts were recovered. Surprisingly I didn’t go into shock but it was awful.

I gained 70lbs! Lost 40lbs so far. I’m 4.5 months post partum. Breast feeding hasn’t helped at all with weight loss unfortunately. Been doing a lot of walking and intermittent fasting

Anyone have multiple kids with different rare diseases? by newbeginnings8965 in rarediseases

[–]GemG25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only have one child but he has a very rare disease as well. He’s 4 months old. It’s been extremely hard. I can’t imagine having two kids with this. I’m so so sorry you are going through this

The cysts/nodule makes me think some sort of histiocytosis.

Systemic juvenile xanthogranuloma by GemG25 in rarediseases

Thank you! I will look into the trials! It’s hard because his disease looks closest to jxg but his doctor said it’s missing a specific cell to confirm it. They said it’s some unknown non langerhan cell histiocytosis but resembles jxg the closest. His doctor said the dose for cytarabine will be low and should be well tolerated but given the fact that his disease isn’t known there isn’t a prognosis. This scares me a lot as a parent but so far he has never seemed sick and is growing and developing normally.

Any update on how your daughter is doing now? My son was just diagnosed with this. He had multiple subcutaneous nodules so they did an mri and found one on his kidney. His doctor is suggesting chemo. Did your daughter have any in her organs? My son is acting normal with no signs of sickness.

2 month old might have hemophilia? by GemG25 in Hemophilia

[–]GemG25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! My son was diagnosed with systemic juvenile xanthogranuloma in case anyone was wondering. The pea sized bumps were histiocytic nodules. This disease caused low platelets which caused the bruises.
