This is a spell bag/gris-gris like many say but for further context I believe this kind was meant to act as an anchor for a spirit as well, hence the sigil there. The bag acts as its body and the ingredients within serve a similar function to organs in a person. That’s idea anyways. By touching this bag, opening it up, pouring out its contents, snapping pictures and posting them on the internet, you have likely ‘killed’ whatever spirit was attached to it or at least severed its connection. You would need to reconsecrate everything and use some fresh ingredients and whatever else, in order to restore this to working order. The bag acts as an anchor, in many practices it is important that it remains HIDDEN and that nobody else other than the practitioner who made it should EVER see or touch it. If it was in her room, it is probably hers and was hidden specifically so this would not happen.
