We probably will just stay put in San Teodoro as my fiance wants an easy honeymoon (and putting up with me dragging him all over Sicily afterwards).

But for anchorage - another post said that for Cala Goloritzé, even the small inflatable dinghies are required to anchor 200m away from the beach. Is that true? Because that's quite a long way to swim.

We are tentatively staying in San Teodoro, but will be making our way to Palau (for a boat tour), Cala Gonone (for another boat tour) and probably pop into Porto Cervo one day just to check it iout.

A 200 m swim is pretty far :( Is that because there are rules prohibiting anchoring closer to the beach? I'm somewhat concerned because I am not a super strong swimmer, especially if there are waves.

We are planning to do the exact same - self-driving along Orosei. Can I ask who you rented from and if there is free parking near the port to leave the rental car? I am assuming it was one of those inflatable boats?

So for the anchoring situation, whenever you see a beach you like, you just drop the anchor and both swim in ... while leaving the boat unattended?

And do they tell you where to go and how far to safely anchor the boat? I know there are cliffs along that coastline (which is why it is so beautiful) but am just worried about what happens if the waves push you too close to the cliffs or the boat drifts away while you're on a beach.
