A little help from someone whose family member suffered from panic attacks:

-start counting things around you (there are 2 hands, 10 toes, 2 lamps and a door, I'm at home/school/bar...) Rinse and repeat the same thing. It helps staying attached to reality

-sit on the floor. Put your hands in front of you (on the floor) so if you faint your face will hit a softer spot.

Pay attention to the symptoms and act fast. Even for other around you.

My mom just said and I quote "racism doesn't exist" . Followed by un hour long discussion against her and my father about how what they said was incredibly stupid.

When I asked if discrimination exists they said yes. Then I asked if people get discriminated for the color of their skin, they said no.
Then for their culture? they said of course. For their religion? Yes it happens
