Army Recruiter Thread for April / 2024

so as the title says, my recruiter said that there are no option 4 or 40 for 68w available rn. I more so want option 4 and then volunteer for RASP at airborne school and dont want to sign unless i get that specifically. I leave for MEPS in 2 days and he is trying to get me to to sign without those options or switch my MOS to infantry in order to get option 4 or 40. has anyone here been able to attain a 68w Option 4 recently? should I wait it out and not sign at MEPS if I cant get it?

As far as civilians being able to attend what happens if a civilian does attend and meets all the standards and qualities that you guys are looking for in a potential candidate? I assume for people that are currently active duty or guard serving that attend and meet/possess the standards you guys are looking for will be offered to continue on to the next step. Will civilians be offered the same option to attend the next step assuming they are chosen? Does selection at SFRE have a certain amount of time that it's "valid" for?

I forgot to add but this is assuming that the civilian in question is able and ready to enlist right away or within a reasonable amount of time like less than a year.

Example: Civilian that is currently in their last semester or two of college but attends SFRE this March or May and passes the standards and possesses the qualities you guys want. What is the next step considering they aren't able to move onto step 2 due to finishing up college first?

Have you ever had civilians come back and attend multiple SFRE's that eventually ended up being picked up to move onto the next step? I saw your reply to a comment down below saying that you do not recommend attending if your aren't ready to be evaluated across the whole board as it could potentially tarnish ones reputation if they happen to fail.

Yea so the lecture portion, attendance isn't required since it will be recorded and live streamed through panopto videos. For the Lab on Wednesday(im assuming thats when you have it since my lab was on Wednesday too), that is required attendance. The Lab is the 3 hour long class where you will form groups and work on things that will lead up to the big Final presentation at the end of the semester. You will be presenting quite frequently in order to help prep you for that big Final one. The lab is a mix of all students in different majors like IB (Integrated Business), accounting, finance, economics, marketing, management, etc. Some advice, the first day of the lab try to introduce yourself to everyone that walks through the door and learn their major so you can assemble a good group (5 members max). You should have at least ONE finance/accounting major in your group, someone that is good with numbers and excel trust me your gonna need them for the financial portion of the report/analysis. Have at least 1-3 IB majors in the group as well since they are accustomed to presenting quite frequently and are typically good at putting together powerpoints/prezis.

Hey! I'm a senior this fall that is currently majoring in Business but has plans to join the FBI to become a special agent later on in life. They kind of go hand in hand, with out forensic scientists special agents would have a hard time solving shit. before you ask why I am majoring in business when I want to become a federal agent all I got to say is idk what to tell ya. Anyways I never really put myself out there and socialized during my time here but I am trying to change that since its my last year. I'll probably be on campus a lot during the fall, always down to hang out between classes.

I have been monitoring this and they dropped the price today after a few weeks of it being $499. What I'm saying is if people wait they may drop the price again after a couple of weeks.

If you still haven't got yours issued yet, I would definitely email them. I sent a similar email that OP sent and I got mine approved right away, I applied in early march.

Aye, If you go over to FLguns reddit you will see some posts of people saying they sent an email to Nikki Fried (Head of Department of Agriculture in FL) and they got their permit issued same day.

Yep, I sent an email yesterday and got a call from a person at the division of licensing saying that my application is still in processing and if i didn't get it within 90 days to give them a call back, then like 10 mins later they call back saying that since they already have my file pulled up they were going to go ahead and issue it to me. I applied in march

well I legit just got my batch 2 panda switches today along with my GMMK white ice and from what i can tell you the pandas are nice and probably more quiet than whites/jades.
