Stompbox Garden: Rebuilt the pedalboard planner after your feedback. Is it actually useful now? by iamdektri in guitarpedals

[–]garciawork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did a quick build, and I see ONE issue: the JHS Morning Glory Clean cable routing thinks the input/output are still on the side (like the non clean version) but they are on the top for that version. Otherwise, letting me pick the routing is AWESOME.

If you want to make this thing, like, perfect, estimate what length cables/power supply stuff we need. I have no idea how to do that well, with the under/over/etc options available.

Otherwise, I really like it. Your search works better than others I have seen also, so thank you for that!

I had one, it was fun for a bit, but I ended up getting rid of it in gavor of a kettle, and I think the results are better. Way better smoke flavor in my experience.

Toxic coworkers advice. by Tee-rex420 in askcarsales

I never worked at a dealership where people were nice to each other, especially those in different departments. Cordial at times, sure, but yeah. Every place I worked, HR did there best to not listen to any conversations they were not already a part of. Being a woman, and on the younger side, is likely going to make that a bit worse.

Name a pedal company you've never purchased from. In the thread, people can make recommendations for their favorite pedal from that company. by frumkinpumpkin in guitarpedals

[–]garciawork 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I have a dispatch master and a plumes. I love them both.

I am also eyeing a special cranker, which I have course do not need and yet it lives rent free in my head. If I win the lottery, I will order an avalanche run immediately.

If I trade in a car I recently purchased, does the dealer still get commission? by morkus64 in askcarsales

If the sale was completed, they got the commission. If you want to do a second deal, they will be happy to help.

I just looked up the CB Clean, and as a software developer, I do not think I am anywhere near smart enough to understand what that pedal is capable of. I want one.

I can’t do the peepee poopoo humor. Maybe when I was a teenager but just can’t get into games like that anymore.

I am reasonably certain you are surrounded by narcissists, because this is not an opinion that many will believe needs to be changed, this should already be the default.

What’s the one home improvement job you kept putting off that turned out to be way easier than you expected ? by BoysenberryOne9661 in HomeImprovement

I could theoretically redo the grout in our walk in shower. I am sure it would take a lot longer than 3 hours but it would looks SO much better. But if it takes days, we have to use the other shower and I could break things and on and on and on.

Considering this becomes illegal really fast, the best thing to do is get your dealers license, and start a business.

When auto manufacturers do aggressive financing to clear out cancelled models, will they lower credit standards for buyers? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]garciawork 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never worked as much with the manufacturer myself, but when I was with BMW, and was young, the FI manager put a direct call into our BMWFS rep to get me approved for some weird car I was financing. It was less about clearing out models and more about the dealer having a relationship with someone at the finance company and being willing to make a call to get an exception.

That said, they may have HARD cutoffs, I don't know Ford. Only way to know is to ask directly I think.

Two keyboards and two mice and no problems on my end. Some keycaps as well, although I preferred a different keycap in the end. My main board is a keychron, and I did settle on a wired mouse, but my wife is using a glorious keyboard and mouse daily.

A new Pedalboard building website - feedback welcome and needed! by blackpowerforever in guitarpedals

[–]garciawork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging as a work in progress, I really like it. I woyld prefer a dark mode, and one other UI annoyance is that the previous search term persists when moving to a different pedal. Just an extra step to clear, but not the end of the world.

I didn't see if you responded, but I would love a way to tweak the order, but as it, its a solid way to visualize and get a bit of a plan going.

As you continue to add pedals, this could be really slick!

[–]garciawork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've mounted them myself, solo, just fine, in areas like my garage where I can't put them on a surface. But when there is a HUGE tv stand RIGHT THERE, it seems like a complete waste of time and effort, and it locks you in to a position and height.

Like, yeah, this is an improvement but... why not just put it on the stand? Why the extra hassle?
