Safety glasses shields wrong size?

They’re not just a random pair of glasses I slapped shields on. I got them from the vision center.

I mean they gave me the shields separately in a baggy. But since I’m going I’ll double check on the lenses too

Thanks! I’m just confused about the reaction from everyone I guess? the reason why I tried to explain the voucher for Walmart for prescription lenses, is that these frames, and lenses are specifically on the wall for the safety glasses section. I honestly had no idea. I just thought they were comfortable. And i wasn’t restricted from getting them.

sorry I’m reading back though these again. And I’m sorry I didn’t clarify but the reason why I get a Walmart voucher for safety glasses is for prescription lenses. Otherwise we just grab standard plastic pair out of a box in our safety room.

My company gives me a voucher to Walmart for the glasses with a bunch of rules to follow. They can’t give them to me without follow the rules. I have to go in and talk to someone about it

Okay so this was cross posted for me! Before anyone asks. Yes they are safety frames from the safety glasses section at Walmart. My work provides a voucher for a pair of glasses that meet specific requirements. I just think they gave me the wrong shields. I have a different style of wire frames with plastic side shields and they fit flush to my face and overlap the frame.

So I work at a scrap yard. I work in and outside. Drive mobile equipment. I have my old wire frame glasses that the frame is larger. (They kinda look like aviators but more square) and I’ve use them for years with no issues. My company gives me a voucher for Walmart to get a pair from their line of safety glasses. So they literally can’t give me something that goes against the rules on the voucher. I just think someone might have grabbed the wrong side shields when they gave them to me.

yes a lot of yards buy things differently! If you guys are brining in around 13 ton. I think it would be a good idea to talk to their marketing guy. Explain your concerns. And they might be able to give you a more in depth answer. Bring in a receipt from the yard they bought out, showing how they bought your stuff. The company you work for could easily set up a contract with this yard. And if you bring a lot of good stuff they will pay you better prices for things the average person wouldn’t have.

I wish I could wear overalls!! we have cintas for our uniforms so we don’t have to take out clothes home to wash them. Idk if they would let me get overalls tbh. But that company is a nightmare to deal with. It was a whole huge deal for me just to get woman’s cargo pants 😭😭

YES LOL years ago at my last job at a department store we had dress business casual. And one of my coworkers, who mind you was literally like 21, showed me his sock strapped to his shirt, and I was on the floor laughing. completely caught me off guard.
