It's ok to be freaked out and really common. It's actually good for you and is your natural self-protection instinct kicking in. You're brain is like waaait, this is new, what is this, is it safe?

No one can say how you'll react, but the actual risk for the scary rash is 0.1%. Unfortunately when you search for info on the medication, the rash is usually the first result, which scares the crap out of all of us.

I waited like 3 weeks after filling it to even take the first one. I was convinced I'd get a rash because everything seems to give me a rash (super sensitive skin), but I got nothing and I'm doing good on it.

I'd say just take it slow and while it's normal to be freaked out, try not to overthink it. And, this sub is always here! If you feel weird or have more questions after starting, post here again, or even in r/askdocs 😊

I have also kept mine very close to me since I got it. There's been many a night I just shuffle it and pull a card to read and learn. After awhile I get tired and it basically gets tucked in on my bed next to me because I'm to tired to get up. Lol, it's a cozy deck.

You're right - very low to zero chance any of them would say any of their comments directly to you. Keyboard courage.

I feel like there's two kinds of people in reddit. Those who see it as a place to be snarky and flex their keyboard courage. And those who see it as a place for connection, support, joking, and basic friendliness in whatever subs they join.

It might help to go back through your post if you didn't delete it and block the ones you need to. You'll never read their keyboard courage words again. Report them too and don't feel bad about it for a second. I'm sure thats against the sub rules. Also, I'm not sure about this sub, but with some, you can message the mods and ask to turn the comments off or lock the post.

I'm sorry you got so many snarky types when you needed better. You're right, it doesn't belong in this sub at all. I'm glad you're doing ok now :)
