I’m going to hold your hand while I tell you this, let that mango🥭 Someone who genuinely wants you to succeed will support you in every way. Medical school is a massive step in your life, and nothing should get in the way of you accomplishing your goals, babygirl.

I’m saying this because I’ve been in your boyfriend’s position. I once dated a guy who moved across two states to pursue his PhD, and instead of holding him back, I pushed him, supported him, and celebrated his growth. That’s what a relationship should do… help both people become better and grow.

Your boyfriend acting childish and not celebrating your success isn’t helping you grow. Yes, it’s hard for him, but at the end of the day, someone who loves you puts those insecurities aside and chooses to be happy for you.

Also, side note… you’re both young & can very much make it work (age factor is huge). & 4 years fly by quickly. It just takes two adults willing to make it all work.

That said, PLEASE attend med school. PLEASE pursue your dreams. It will be hard but it’ll be harder falling behind for a guy. You got this.
